I will allocate numbers to each player but not publish them. When I announce the draw is taking place the first number to be posted will be the first out of the hat and will be at home. The second number to be posted will be away and so on. Whoever is on line will be able to post the next number as soon as I post the the name corresponding to the previously drawn number. Any names added from now on will be reserves in case a player cannot place his/her selections one week. If someone cannot play a game the first name from the reserve list will take their place for the rest of the competition. If the first reserve cannot play they will be removed from the list and the next reserve will take the place and so on.
The draw is about to commence on the Daily Racing Thread. The first number between 1 and 16 inclusive will be the first home team. .

It's fine George. I'll take on the winner in a Charity Shield Match. Seems strange no-one has questioned why it's called the "Singles". Anyway it's because if this goes OK I was thinking of having a doubles, where teams consist of two members. Could involve some tactical betting decisions going on via PMs.
Don't forget, Round 1 takes place on Saturday 17th December. Selections will be taken from Cyc's competition so don't miss that. Good luck all. If anything needs clarification just post your question below, preferably before Saturday.
Sorry for being dumb, i hardly get on here on a weekend so havent checked out cycs competition.. is it 5 selections from a selected 5 races?
So let me get this straight- we just do our 5 selections from Cycs comp and they are the selections for both competitions?
what if, like me, your not in Cycs comp? do i just select a horse in each of the races cyc selects as part of his comp...
