I've voiced no opinion on whether the arrest was justified or not, i'm simply pointing out that some people are getting their panties in a bunch over "ARMED POLICE" for no reason.

Before: Rape/sexual coercion required proof of overcoming resistance by violence or threats.

After: Any sexual act against the “recognizable will” of the victim became punishable.

Result: A much broader set of cases qualified as rape, including cases with multiple offenders → PKS numbers rose from 2017 onward.
