Well Greaves was always going, but fair enough on Tufan and Seri. So we'd have had these players going into last season: Alsopp, Pandur, Giles, Jacob, Jones, Macca, Coyle, Seri, Slater, Tufan, Omur and Sinik. Everyone else either sold or frozen out and would likely have been sold (Longman, Simons etc.) Regardless of how you look at it, a complete overhaul was happening last summer with our without Liam.
Is that the greaves that was part of the group pleading with acun not to sack Liam? Regardless of how I look at it? How many times do I have to say we should have approached January differently? Instead of zaroury get someone on a permanent. Try to have an option on Ohio. Don't bother with sharp. Don't bother with omur unless you have confidence he'll be your starting 10 the next season. Hold out for more for Jaden or don't sell if you haven't gone all in in January.
But that happened Syd, and Liam was presumably fine with it? So regardless of sacking Liam or not, we were on a massive rebuild.
According to a Turkish guy who cut my hair and apparently knows Acun, Tufan wanted to go for the money. They were offering him double what he was earning here. The only thing he was unsure on was if he should hold on a bit and hope for an even bigger offer from Saudi But obviously that's only hearsay and/or heresy
That Philogene deal was a travesty. There wasn’t a group that pleaded with Acun not to sack Liam. There was however a group that went behind Liams back and complained to Acun that the style was too boring and they didn’t like it.
And then there was Seri, who is on record as saying he no longer believed in the project after Liam was sacked, so left. And Morton's brother on twitter saying it was mad to sack him. But supposedly Morton was one of the so-called delegation. Rosenior didn't lose the players to anywhere near the extent his successor did. Was he overly prescriptive? Probably, but so we're Walter and Selles afterwards.
Apparently One of the reasons amongst a few for mcann being sacked was him saying he hates turkish kebabs
