He didn't get banned, he just sulked off, he wasn't happy that he was outed as also being a Sunderland fan and everyone slagging off his clocks.
I don't know why having a reasoned discussion about what occurred in that season is 'mad what I'll do to defend Liam'. The fact of the matter is the most successful season we've had since Steve Bruce was under Liam Rosenior. The highest finishing position coupled with one of the most prolific scoring seasons since our last promotion to the PL (the only more prolific season was under Slutsky). If I find that season successful then I don't see that as 'mad'. The fact other teams had a wobble is my point that teams don't just run out the season strongly even if they finish in a top 6 position, and in fact can then go on to still have a positive end to the season (in Southampton's case). Have a look at who was in the top 6 for the form table other than Ipswich to finish off the season - Norwich. We did not have a decent chance of winning the play offs. Everyone who criticises the end to that season and the failure to make the play offs has this obsession with equating making the play offs with going up. We were not beating that Southampton team over two legs regardless of how well we played them in a one off game at St Mary's. And in fact the fact you think we could/should have won the play offs is even more of a credit to the way Rosenior had us lining up. You can't criticise him in one breath then say the way he had us playing against the good sides in the division was competitive. Again, Delap's injury was crucial to our failure to get over the line to finish the season, but even so, the chances of going up that season were tiny, as most rational observers of that season would have said. In fact plenty of us said it at the time. Re-grouping and trying again the following season, as Sunderland did, instead of ripping everything up and selling half the squad along with sacking the manager would have been far more fruitful, as Sunderland found it. Yes I'm aware they did sack their manager, but they did so knowing they would be able to hold the majority of their squad together.
Who who we sold/released last summer would you have kept? Bearing in mind Tufan wanted to go back to Turkey so was going no matter what, and Greaves and Philogene were both going due to the money on offer.
I remember him now you said that, didn't he always say that his Child bride had done his dinner or was going for a drink or something?
Could you get your friend to DM me with the details please, otherwise I'm afraid I can't accept that story.
I think he's set off for a longer walk than normal. Last seen departing Milngavie last evening en-route to Fort William(West Highland Way).
Isn't that the same as asking for the others who post opinions or info they have to DM you with their friends or contacts details or you wont believe or accept what they say? When you know they are unable to do that.
I wasn't deflecting.. You said tufan was leaving no matter what which I call rubbish on. I would have kept all of Seri, Tufan and Greaves and I think all would have been happy to stay had Rosenior still been in charge. I also wouldn't have spent as ridiculously in January so that selling Philogene for a ridiculously low fee was required.
