Not sure what’s happened at Palace but Solomon could be at Villareal as his deal fell through, Spaniards trying to get him last minute
Well. I think Christian Eriksen would be a decent 1 year deal. Struggled at scum but who hasnt? Majority of those who leave scum seem to have a new lease of life. He could be this seasons Guilovogui but better.
Started well. ended bad. Everyone fit we have a chance but you know for certain that wont happen we've already lost 2 players in 3 games. We have had time so not avin the deal sheet was in. It is what it is now we cant do anything about this is our Premier League team till January.
Gyabi to Hull - We let him go for free but apparently he has a 50% sell on clause Dilan Bakwa - We bid £35m for him but he didn’t want to join IF true we have a healthy January budget to raise more false hopes
Not making excuses but was a Hard window as the ones we wanted didn't want to come. January will be alot harder and even more so if we near the bottom. But we have to stay positive.
it’s how it is. Forest are in Europe. We are bottom feeders, so setbacks, gazumpung etc will happen. It’s a difficult job. But Sunderland seemed to manage to do it. Time will tell if they got enough quality for their money but either way they got deals over the line. Appreciate a lot of the deals require selling club to get players in first so you have to react quickly late in the window. In this game of musical chairs, we always seem to be the ones left standing when the music stops. You simply have to get core positions nailed on, before the end of the window, and treat deadline day as a bonus.
Another issue with the window this time, I'm not sure we'd get our money back on any of the players, let alone turn a profit on them.
I know you included this just for a laugh, but the only outstanding monies between our 2 clubs shown in Barcelona latest audited accounts, relates to us owing them just under £5m for Junior Firpo (which presumably has been paid now). We elected to sell our debt in respect of Raphina to a 3rd party finance company, to ensure that, given Barcelona's financial situation at the time, we were paid in full.
This is what really irks me, why were we wasting any time on players who didn’t want to join. If the players agent says we’re waiting to see what offers he receives or his preference is XYZ we move swiftly on. Before the window opened we should have known who was of interest. Two weeks before the season ended we knew we were in the PL, was it a case of Kinnear and co simply taking all the contacts with them and our new guy having to start from scratch Why did we not take Solomon back, it’s all very bizarre and huge mistakes have been made. If the 49ers were willing to put the cash up they need to have some sense and get a new recruitment team in before January
I thought so, but there was bound to be someone who took the comment as being serious and thus I wanted to put that fire out before we got into a lengthy meaningless discussion (although of course we are now in a meaningless discussion, but not yet a lengthy one )
