Aye, but I think we'll have to 'decline' a lot more if we're to win the league this year ;)

I thought the funniest thing was early in the season, when we were banging them in for fun, the media were going on about no team ever having won the title after scoring more than 15 goals in the first six matches or something like that. Yet as soon as City overtook us they conveniently forgot the whole stat, despite City having scored about the same number of goals as us!

The hard truth is Man City's squad and first team is better than ours. Still, I think experience and having been there before will see us through.

I think man for man City has better players and of course the whole squad costs several times more than United.

But I think in the premiership United has the advantage of Fergie over Mancini as managers. Ferguson gets more from his players than mancini and ferguson will have the experience of the run-in if it is very close.

The QPR match could make or break United's challenge. That match is a very dangerous one as QPR plays well at loftus road. If United lose points there, then I am afraid City will gain confidence and steamroll Arsenal, and it is curtains for United who are suffering all sorts of problems.

Better individuals, but as a team United are better. They have more experience and a sense of the collective is more important than the individual. That is how a squad should be set up.

What you've just put underlines what he said. The 6-1 one is a nice one off performance, the type Liverpool tend to do when they play us, raising their game in the big matches and ****ing it up against teams they should beat.

You beating us 6-1 was exactly that, a great performance, but it does not prove you to be a better TEAM than United.

The only way you'll do that is by winning the league, and it isn't even January so you haven't done that.

top 6 games mean something again with most of the top beating the regulars regularly:)

Any of the top 6 can take points from each other it seems, going to be a great 2nd half to the season.. so many important matches this year

MU Cty Che Ars Lfc Spds all to play each other with all games having an impact in one way or another. Grrreat

way teams are playing it is far too difficult for any team\fans to claim they are favourites.

    i agree.

it's probably the most unpredictable and interesting season for a while, city are top and on fire but this is new ground for them, I'm not predicting that they will collapse, but it will be a test come late Jan/Feb to see their resolve, chelsea will battle away, Spurs are well placed and have a game in hand, arsenal are beginning to get some form together, and as for liverpool ............................ well I'll end it there :)

    only kidding!

    .....maybe;)

I personally do not think City will win the league but at the moment I can't see Utd winning either.

I was just asking the question and did not say we were the better team, although at the moment I think we are, and unlike Liverpool I don't think we have ****ed up with teams that on paper we should beat and for the record I and any serious City fans would be foolish to say we will win the league, been around far to long for that!

Hopefully Fergie will do his usual magic January onwards and City will falter. I would hate City to win the league.

it is che MU and City in this spuds and arse will fall away, Liverpool can just hope to take points from those above them but offer no serious challenge, but we can revisit that in 10 more games and we'll see how it all looks then

I think that at the moment City is the strongest team in the league. Yet I do not think (or at least I hope) they will necessarily be in March- May 2012. I can see United getting stronger and grinding results and if City lose points they may end up runners up even if they on the whole are the best team.

Once hernandez, Cleveley and Anderson are back, United will be beating most teams.

Hopefully City will fall under the pressure and United will just carry on as ever.

Theres a reason pundits and the like never write man united off.

The team spirit, experience and sheer bloody mindedness must be worth an extra ten points a season.

When the chips are down, the team is playing crap and you need the points will Milner, Barry, Johnson and co have what it takes to step forward?

Clichy already fell apart and bottled it once with Arsenal and Nasri has plenty of experience of falling short.

Will Balotelli keep his cool when every game is must win?

Long way to go yet and while being first is a good position... united are rarely first at this point in the season and they usually go on to win it.
