    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...es-sale-Chelsea-20m-January-flop-striker.html

Chelsea are ready to cut their losses on out-of-form striker Fernando Torres and will accept an offer of £20m for the 27-year-old Spaniard in January. Their valuation represents a loss of £30m on the fee they paid Liverpool in January of this year.

I know its a rumour and a pipe dream but £20m for a class striker like Torres, is definately worth it. He would easily slot into our system and bang them in. Sometimes players don't fit teams and maybe he doesn't for Chelsea.

Remember form is temporary, class is permanent.....

I'd bite your hand of for Torres at £20 million.

I think he'd fit very well with our system and be a great back-up to RVP.

Very much doubt this will happen but i'd love it if it did.

    I'm not sure.

He's 27 now, a quality player no doubt and would fit in much better at Arsenal than Chelsea but i'm still not sure about him.

Is he worth changing our style for? going back to a 4-4-1-1?

would either be a Huge success or an Epic failure.

Yes but just imagine the service he would get from our much more creative midfield and forwards! With Wilshere coming back and Ramsey, Song and Arteta improving with every game, he would get more chances. Also imagine an RVP and Torres partnership, pant wetting at its best!

I'd be more than happy with signing Torres for £20M. Ain't going to happen though.

He certainly was a class performer - hope he can still do it? For £20m he might be a very good deal.

unload 2 or 3 to finance it.

Chamakh - 10m? (I heard this figure being bandied about somewhere, so don't laugh!)
    Bendtner - 5-6? maybe?
Rosicky - 7? Should give us enough or am I mistaken here?

I'd keep Rosicky, plus I'm not sure we'd get that much for him, but probably more for Bendtner.

Get rid of Arshavin for £7M+

Why are we so unambitious? Of load a few of our players like Chamakh, Bentner, Squashy etc and we'll easily be able to afford him. It will raise extra funds and reduce the wage bill.

I genuinely believe that Torres is in the wrong team. Chelsea is a typical English team that relies on power. We have finese and flair, which would accomodate Torres' skillset perfectly. It will also give our main player RVP time for a breather!

Don't think we should sell Rosicky yet - he is a good squad player.

We can afford a £20 million player without selling anyone but chances are if we go in for another striker Chamakh will make way. Bendtner most probably leaving when we find someone to buy him anyway regardless of who we sign.

Agreed, we should be able to afford hiim regardless but reducing the wage bill is important, especially when we have ineffective players on the bench doing nothing. Rosicky is still a useful player and someone who can cover Song/Frimpong when they go to the ACON. However, we need to rid ourselves of players that have little influence on the team!

Do you honestly believe that Song, Arteta, Ramsey, Rosicky, Wilshere, Diaby et al are not creative? How odd.

Song - no .. just because he has had a couple of assists in the last 2 games doesn't make him creative. Phil Jones has assists but is hardly creative.

Arteta - no .. not in the role he is playing for us.

Ramsey - yes but in as much as he gets forward so will inevitably get assists.

Rosicky - no - he hasn't been for a long time.

Wilshere - possibly, if played offensively then yes but otherwise not as much as he can be.

Diaby - no because he has no end product whatsoever.

Benayoun is more creative than all of the above but we don't have anyone that I would class as completely creative and this is why we have struggled to create chances in many games. RVP has pulled rabbits out of the hat too many times for us this season.

You are always so negative. You should see a doctor and get some anti-depressants.

Song - 5 Assists (only 3 players in the league have more)
    Gerv - 5 Assists
    Theo - 4 Assists
    Ramsey - 4 Assists
    Arteta - 2 Assists
Wilshere is creative, as is Diaby and Rosicky. Rosicky has looked good in his limited appearances for us this year.

But you'll probably find some way to dismiss these stats and slate the team as always. I'd rather have our midfield than any others apart from Man Citeh, but then I support the club and team.

You're being a little too harsh. I agree on us not being as creative as before, but that will happen if you lose players like Fabregas and Nasri. However, as pointed out earlier, players like Ramsey, Arteta and the soon to come Wilshere are making significant improvement. We do creative a fair bit and if we got someone like Torres, our front 3 would form a more dynamic partnership.

Song, Diaby and Arteta are not creative - Wilshere is simply forceful not particularly creative.
Ramsey does try but is not so good at it!

How can you say that Song is not creative when only 3 players in the league have more assists than him?
