So wissa it is then. No JSL, first game after the international break is against wolves at SJP. I know who im backing to score in that game..
So - If anyone really believed we would get £150m for Isak, after that being touted as the price - you are living in dream land. It's a negotiation. Think selling a car... a house... a bike... You're open to offers, and you never start at the bottom. If it's £130m - great. Get the rat out. Good business regardless. If the Dippers think they've a bargain at £130m then they're as foolish as those set on £150m. The money will make a huge difference to us. It would have been great to have been concluded earlier, but we do the best we can and we move on and prepare for January. Wissa @£55m seems very high, but we'll pay 1/5th of it a year and he goes after 2-3 years. If he's brilliant, maybe he eeeks it out and we think £55 is ok. I'm unconcerned by the fee to be honest. Let's see what the day brings - hopefully a couple of nice surprises. please log in to view this image
Apparently we've just had an initial bid rejected for Dutch LB Jayden Oosterwolde. Potential Targett replacement.
Heard Wissa is a bit of a rat Look forward to hearing the Wissa is a **** chants from Newcastle fans in a couple of weeks time
This has to be something of a tipping point for football as relates to agent and player behaviour. I'm staggered we've questioned Jackson's character amid claims he wouldn't "fit in", yet are happy to spend £55m on a 29 year old AFCON absentee who did the same thing as Isak (albeit with a nicer worded Instagram post). I'm a bit embarrassed by Newcastle this Summer. Thankfully the squad is just about better off but the mis-management from our absent CEO and the sluggishness of Saudi has been awful. It's taken Jamie Rueben and Jacobo Solis taking emergency action for anything to change, but it's been very amateurish and we're still picking up leftovers rather than buying what we want/need.
**** off JDT....just ****ing **** right off with this **** will ya ! Wouldn't surprise me if he and Shlert hadn't already spoken and agreed to wrap him in cotton wool so he doesn't pick up a knock or an injury. I wish only bad things for that **** now !
Yep, frustrating when we 'could' have done so much. But hopefully the imminent arrival (this month I believe?) of both new CEO and SD will set us uo better for future windows and other commercial deals.
I'll wait to the end of the window before writing a piece but it wont be complimentary to PIF, you'll be surprised to know
