My top 5 would be 1. Marco Ardigo – missed out on the WDC due to a technicality 2. Rubens Barrichello – demonstrated his superior experience by scoring 4 times as many points as his team mate. 3. Felipe Massa – for his mathematical approach to racing. If you take the number of points he scored and divide it by the number of points that Ferrari scored, then move the decimal place, then you get the numerical constant referred to in scientific circles as Pi. 4. Karun Chandhok – although he scored 0 points along with 8 other drivers he would have finished 8 places higher if it hadn't been for the count back 5. Fernando Alonso -
Hehehehe… I seem to remember someone going on about Ardigò a long time back. I think it was someone on the BBC606 forum… In terms of top drivers, he is not in the top 20 of present day drivers. Not even close. And in my opinion, that's why he's not yet in F1 - and why I expect things to remain that way for the foreseeable future. Karting is a good grounding for F1, but almost entirely because it develops what has been come to be known as 'racecraft'.
