Sunderland and Burnley doing deals, Spertsyan tells Leeds to do one, obviously worked with Farke before. Newcastle going for it big time after Isak cash comes in

I haven’t mentioned it on the Sunderland board but the Premier league is a graveyard for highly rated Dutch outfield players coming over here. I’m on the fence with him.

You certainly have some "characters" over there and a few who love to turn every debate into an argument

He looks a good player but I would question if he is better than what you already have, I would have thought spending the funds elsewhere a wiser move but who knows!!

Smug? He probably argues with his own shadow <laugh>

We needed another forward. We only have Isidor and Mayenda, so it’s definitely needed. Geertruida completed the defence. A winger would finish off the job and we are in for one apparently.

Looks like Bakwa to Forest is back on. Elanga for 55m and Bakwa in for 20m is great business for them.

If we (Sunderland and Leeds, even Burnley) can buck the relegation trend then Bakwa will be on the same shelf we are able to shop on next season, we need to drag equal doubt into these players minds that Everton, West Ham, Wolves and a few others are no safer than us

100% mate. Bakwa is 35m it’s just been reported.

Not sure about Burnley, but if our clubs stay up we’ll probably be a bigger pull than the likes of Palace, Brighton and Bournemouth.

Fulham are on the verge of bringing in two wingers. They’ll need to time to settle in, though.

Fulham are working on signing two wingers in Shakhtar Donetsk's Kevin and AC Milan's Samuel Chukwueze before the transfer deadline.

The Cottagers agreed a club-record £34m fee for Kevin on Sunday and the 22-year-old is expected to sign a five-year deal today.

However, talks for Chukwueze are yet to be finalised but continue to progress an advanced stage.

It happens too frequently doesn’t it

Should we be happy with the transfers or are we judging what Sunderland have done and always wanting more

Difficult to be happy considering what Farke said we needed and expected only a couple of days ago and got nothing. More worrying is we simply can’t attract quality

Sunderland may have had a better PSR situation…. But even so… this is just an utter disaster.

Smart move by Farke to go public. He must have seen this coming, tried to put a bit of pressure on and has his excuse on the record to help his future job prospects.

We’re not completely goosed, but we’re going to need huge luck with injuries and a few guys to overperform to have a sniff at staying up.

Actually feel sorry for Farke. Had a really good start and wanted two more signings and we couldn’t deliver anyone. Crazy.

Got no time for Farke but he deserved his chance and should have been handed a full deck. Expected him sacked by Xmas but will deffo happen now and it’s not his fault. James now needs to play out of his skin, DCL needs to get fit and start scoring, Okofor needs to prove his worth and we may need Stach to create as AM.

    God help us

Let’s do a HUGE IF we stay up, I’ve lost confidence we’ll sign players next season who can push us on. This has been a very underwhelming window yet it started quite strongly.

We were on the verge of a new keeper, Stach and Paxio in the same week, then three games into the season and we’re not much better off

Is this down to being stuck with the likes of Meslier and Harrison and we were hoping to get fees for them and those like Bamford who we’ve had to pay off and Gyabi, Joffy, Wober going on loans when we might have hoped to pocket £15m

I don’t get the stadium expansion plans when you don’t hit the transfer market hard enough. Who is to blame 49ers or recruitment team or both
