I see Romano’s had a stinker again today, this time it’s West Ham/Paqueta related.
He all but gave the “here we go” on Paqueta to villa yesterday, saying that he has accepted a move to villa, being “keen on their project and ready to join”.

Only a matter of hours later, Paqueta kisses the west ham badge in their 3-0 win over Forest after the goal he scored, sending a clear message about the speculation.

I’m keen to see what bullshit he strings football fans along with tomorrow. Blokes become an absolute clickbait merchant recently.

Just under 12 hours to try and bring in at least one player. To be fair we nearly always do something on deadline day whether we sign someone of the required standard remains to be seen .

Is it going to be a panic buy cast off like a Danjuma or will Levy suprise us with a Savinho or even a Lookman ?

Worrying news this morning that Solanke’s injury is worse than what Frank is making out and with Richy’s abysmal injury record we could be in the stum.

Rumours of Muani and Openda, personally I think we’ve got to go to Brentford and pay over the odds to get Wissa. Can play 9 and also out on the left. Desperate for a move and of course that relationship with Frank.

Will we sign a defender ? Frank says he doesn’t want another CB I could take that but we will need a FB then whether it’s left or right depending on where Frank sees Spence playing.

Let’s just hope we don’t have a 3pm club announcement saying our transfer business is complete, if that happens then yet again our chairman has left us short.

 

Lookman flopped at three separate Prem clubs, he’s had a great time with Atalanta but I’d be very cautious over signing him, could easily be another Sancho type.

Savinho as I’ve said before plays like Mahrez but without a brain, he’s young though so could improve but rumours of £70m or so on him is bonkers in my opinion, lob that amount at Bournemouth for Semenyo.

Could actually be a half decent deadline day for once, Isak looking like it’s now on, the goalkeeper changes at city and hopefully we can get one or two through.

I think lookman and akanji look like realistic possibilities. Seems to late though to get the kind of deal done for a striker that it looks like we’re now going to need.

I don’t think we’ll bring anyone in today, to be honest. Last week my feelings were that we’d struggle to bring in more than 1 with such little time left, and we’ve done that with Xavi. I think today is going to be a massive let down, full of rumours, nonsense, and disappointment.

 

Matt Law ( who does seem to have a vendetta against us think he’s a Chelsea fan ) has just tweeted that Tottenham dont expect anymore incomings today and are instead concentrating on departures.

Really hope this isn’t true. We desperately need another attacker . I suppose the flip side is we cannot be signing second rate players who we will struggle to move on in a year or two.

Edit : Law has just denied saying this, stating he was merely saying signing a striker and a defender isn’t on our priority list .

Prior to the Solanke news I’d say we only needed one top signing to make it an excellent window and that’d be a LW (or another ten and shift Xavi LW) but we now probably need a striker as well.

 

This would be a grave mistake imo, unless January is meant to be some sort of miracle window.

Fiorentina have signed Lamptey for just £6m. I know there’d have likely been a Prem tax but considering we could do with another RB, feels like that could’ve been a decent option for us to pursue.
