The question I have is whether he's simply doing what the others would do in these circumstances. I'm not sure he's a bad guy, but I don't like this at all.... I think it's a rare situation when a player of such quality is at a project club and is wanted by a big club.
Apparently he did say that though. I think Wilson had to go regardless. I think the club tried to get replacements for both (Pedro, Ekitike, Sesko were never just to replace Wilson, whereas Wissa, JSL were). They just couldn't get them in. When isak told the club he wanted to leave, the club may well have said (verbally) OK you can go IF we can get a replacement in AND we get an acceptable offer for you. Those conditions weren't met.

He’s just been extremely badly advised by a greedy agent. I bet if things could be different he would do it. But he’s played his cards. He things he’s better than us. He thinks he’s elite. I don’t think he is. If Liverpool do come in for him he simply has to be the worlds best player or he’s failed.

Someone would bid in January, but seeing him rot and not play the game he loves for the next 3 months would feel a bit like some justice/punishment (I don’t care which)
