Jack Kingdon joins Cardiff City after Wrexham links

In May, Wrexham were linked with Jack Kingdon ahead of his release from Manchester United.

Kingdon was an award-winning sprinter as a youngster, winning several gold medals at the Bolton United Harriers championships.

Out of boredom, just popped over to the Plymouth forum to look at their reaction to last weekend. Spotted remote contributed some very good stuff. <applause>

One thing though remote - the Colwill brothers are from Neath not Caerphilly..........<whistle>

I was sure I read Ruben was from Caerphilly.

Swans must be gutted they let those two slip through their fingers.

Only a few posters on the plymouth board, but seemed decent enough.

No, the Colwill's are definitely from Neath, but I think Dylan Lawlor is from Caerphilly like Ramsey. <ok>

At least there's someone posting on another League One club forum. Don't post around myself these days, but it's like a morgue down here.

Yes. Just reading bits about them. Ruben going to school in Ystalafera and Joel training with the senior team in Pontyrdawe.
Wiki says Ruben was born in Neath, Joel in Wales.<doh>

Indeed. Very few boards with posts in the last 6 months.

I still think Cleverly, like some lazy hacks, is dismissive of the turnover of players we've had and what BBM has achieved with our 'youth team'.

We need the academy to keep producing.
We'll lose players like Lawlor, the Colwills and Kpakio over time, which is ok if they generate decent fees. We need 2 or 3 a year coming through each year to keep replacing them.
A couple a year going out on loan and a youngster or two straight into the team with a returning player that has been out on loan will do fine.
You can see why the academy recruited in the summer. They've lost a few to the senior team they might have expected to still be in their ranks.
By accident or by design, because of our directors and owner or despite them, the sausage machine seems to be producing.
It needs to be established as the norm, along with the aligned playing style, not just because BBM is the boss.

When BBM moves on (unless he becomes our answer to sir Alex), we need to recruit a manager aligned to us, not us align to them.
