Daily Mail reporting that we remain firm in the Isak not for sale stance and that he won't be moving to Liverpool.

We badly need someone to replace Joelinton whenever he's out injured as our press is woeful without his aggression & power.

It’s woeful when you play a passive 541. It’s not a good formation. Short in the middle, with zero threat. It’s a good way to keep a clean sheet, but arguably more effective at ensuring you don’t score, I don’t know why Howe used it today.

433 suits us and if we need to change, go 352, but keeping a middle three is vital to us. 541 is just stupid and ****.

We need a miracle.... There's literally no goals and a general lack of pace all over the pitch. If people think sticking Woltemade up front of this mess will suddenly fix everything then they're mistaken.

Barnes, Gordon, and Elanga are toothless! The last two are huff and puff.... Barnes doesn't even do that. 150 million for that lot? Awful! Only gordons even remotely good enough. I appreciate it's early days, but I can already see why Forest fans said Elanga was a frustrating player and not worth 55 million.

Howes bought a player that has one ability on the break and we are trying to play passy, it's a style that's now gone out of fashion. It's either that or we play direct Neanderthal football.

The defenders and midfield are all made of lead and none of them will chip in with goals enough. The goalkeeper looks like he's got something wrong with him at this point. He can't even run without looking out of place.

I can't think of a single area of the pitch that's functioning. Maybe midfield if Joelinton plays and he was bought by Steve Bruce 6 years ago, so you're right I guess.

The side isn't good at corners, free kicks or set pieces.... In fact they're bad in all of these areas of the game.

I'd already be looking at Areola once this season concludes if (I accept it's an If) we don't make Europe and I don't think we will quite frankly.

Lets not beat around the bush Howes had about half a billion plus now.. We should be better.

We are hard to beat, with our constant tackling, fouling, diving, pressing, etc. So that aspect of our game is good, very good.

The issue we have is just toothlessness. We press and press with no end product.

We are **** at set pieces, unbelievably ****. In fact I have never seen Newcastle worse at set pieces than we have been under Howe, he is woeful at it, one of the worst in league statistically at it.

Team selection has always been hit and miss, since day one and will never change. New signings take too long to integrate, loyalty to the old guard is beyond belief, it takes defeat and for Howe to be frustrated for players to come in

In game management is meaningless as we make subs that have no impact, Murphy off today for Elanga was pointless as only Murphy was shooting, so we bring on Barnes who is dire, appalling because he has a shot.

Barnes as a player is a ****ing disgrace, I can't stand him. When we are defending corners he looks disinterested, stands there and slowly walks away when the cross comes in. He can't be arsed to make a run, get past his man, keep the ball, if he isn't shooting he isn't interested. Away at Leeds he was never ever going to perform because he has to be involved and being involved isn't for him.

He should never play again and we never should have bought him, Osula is ****e, but he tries. Barnes needs shooting.

Lol villa sell Ramsey to us and buy paqueta for the same amount. I think ramseys a good player but paqueta is better.

I really want to believe we're going to sign some flair and creativity, but I think Howe probably prefers soil science.

the study of soil as a natural resource, encompassing its formation, classification, physical and chemical properties, and its relationship to living things and the environment. It's a multidisciplinary field that draws on aspects of geology, chemistry, biology, and ecology. Soil scientists work to understand how soil functions, how it changes over time, and how it can be managed sustainably.

Howe does strike me as the type to measure the grass at the training ground before every session

So with a day and a bit to go it would appear we might get larsen or Wissa? We're going to have a majorly bad season I think.. We're like bread that's gone stale, while everything thing around us has been packed out with fresh loafs and pastries.
