Only 117 sleeps to go!!! The WGYG being counting time in sleeps. Use days ffs. What about the folk who enjoy an afternoon nap? They'll be cooking turkey on October the 27th.
Exactly. Nuance is confined to history. People forget that the actual majority in this country are not extremists, one way or the other, regardless of what the right-wing media are trying to cook up.
And regardless of how the left-leaning, liberal BBC, Guardian and Mirror are trying to portray anyone who's views happen to be right of centre
AI is an infinitely bigger threat to this country but no-one is protesting for restrictions. I wonder why? (Hint - we're owned by the Tech bro's).
Yes, spoken like a true extremist. Whether you know it, or not, 15 years ago many of the views that are now considered 'mainstream' were the bastion of the far-right movement.
So if they are mainstream, that means the country has by and large moved to the right over the last 15 years. When you consider who has been in power for that time period, isn't that what you would expect to happen?
See above. Nearly 50% of those arrested in the 'Southport Riots' were domestic abusers. Hardly non-extremists, yet I'm sure many on here were sympathisers. These people abused women and children themselves, which is what they were accusing the migrants of doing. Crazy.
I don't know the details of that so I can't comment. But not everyone who's views are right of centre are extremely right wing. The PM before Bonking Boris for example
I would like to see how you arrived at a figure of "nearly" 50%. Succesful court prosecutions may be a start. You could perhaps take it a stage further and tally the number of attendees at said riots, then calculate the number arrested and you could then present to us an accurate percentage of domestic abusers present. Say one in 10,20,50,400, 1000. For now, I remain highly doubtful of your figure of "nearly" 50%. But thank you for giving up your weekend to present to me the overall accurate, auditable figures. I do hope this is not an inconvenience?
https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/uk-riots-how-many-reported-domestic-abuse-396063/ OK, my bad. It was nearer to 40% but I imagine that most of us are aware that a lot of this violence/abuse may not be reported or is yet to be, so the number could be higher. In the Bristol riot alone it was two-thirds of people. @Asterix
See above. It was widely reported just not to those in a certain echo chamber. Understandably, I guess. So for those saying we're on the edge of something big, these are the people who will be leading the charge...
