7 at the back, 2 DM’s, and Arma at least 30 yards from any ball passed forward.

Were Mads and Manning playing almost as wingers then and no double pivot?
Going back to the Stoke line up would be disappointing but i've resigned myself to 3 CBs (maybe not so bad if only one DM).

 

Can't beat a bit of old school with leather laced up balls, proppa boots well dubbined and a 1-2-3-5 formation.

Not sure if anyone else watched the written part of the press conference, but sounded to me like Still is going to give Archer the start and the two had a very blunt chat where he has challenged him to take this opportunity and make the starting spot his

Maybe some of the 1200 that didn’t turn up on Tuesday won’t bother tomorrow either and offer you a couple of tickets

I'd start him personally. Get him some decent time with new team mates where we've got a lot of new players to bed in.

Really don't want to be starting the skates match with 3 debutants.

 

As the squad stands now, I think realistically only Azaz and Fellows would get a debut start against Pompey

 

Yeah and it can only benefit us for that game if Azaz gets an hour tomorrow.

Buzzing for this. Can't beat a relatively local away day for a Saturday 3pm.

Though I've ****ed up my travel and think I'm going to arrive in London about 10:30.

Any suggestions on what to do to kill a few hours?

 

Also does anyone else get the feeling that after everybody being so excited the last couple of days that we're absolutely nailed on to lose this?
