Presumably not registered in time to feature tomorrow. From the hype coming out, this looks like the signing with the biggest potential to be our £30m profit next summer…
Played against England u21 in the Euros group stage, a game Germany won 2-1. Tom Fellows came off the bench for England in the same game. That's quite a strong midfield he was up against.
I know it was a tongue in cheek comment but If anyone is going to bid circa 40m for him next summer after one season in the championship then he is going to have so thoroughly destroyed the league that I think we’ll all be in rather high spirits
He has a decent shot from outside the area in the highlights. All the players in both teams are very good, and they won, so he must be ok!
Just caught some of the Nurnberg game on YT (part of my acca) and there are loads of "Danke Caspar" signs with hearts...awww
When in a previous life I was involved in recruitment I always looked for bright young things who wanted to show how amazing they were before going on to a bigger stage. My company had two or three years of their brilliance. This was worth a lifetime from a bloody time-server I loved watching Sadio Mane. I always knew he’d go on to bigger things, but while he was with us he was brilliant for SFC. There are others. Even local hero Mick Channon eventually moved on to seek trophies (City, Michael. Really?). If those incoming make a major contribution to the club and then go onto Real Madrid I’ll be a happy bunny. The Portuguese silly bugger going to West Ham is another matter.
