Completely meh over the alleged Xavi Simons signing.

The only thing of note to me is his age (which means he
can either have a long squad career or be sold on
before he is too old) .

The plan is to lock Semenyo in the cheese room after the game and feed him Stinking Bishop until he is delirious and signs for us

Simons looks a bit weak and feeble for the PL. He’s going to find the physicality of the PL very different to the Bundesliga. It tends to be very open and quick players get plenty of time and space there if they’re half decent.

Wirtz hasn’t looked up to it so far; Sancho was a world beater at Dortmund. I doubt Gittens will do much at Chelsea.
    Don’t mention Werner <yikes>
    Or Sesko

    Semenyo would be great though

Modric and Eriksen had similar physiques to Simons. They didn't do too badly...

I think this would be a very good buy. Would provide better cover at left back than Davies as well which means Spence could play right back more often to help out porro.

Definitely an upgrade based on dragusin so far who I know people haven’t been impressed with but interested to see him in a frank system where we’re more focused on actually defending which should be more suited to his strengths.

Every Spurs fan I have seen online is excited by this signing. Some even saying the biggest signing since Klinsmann or Van de Vaart. Interestingly, the only descenting voices I have heard are on here.
As I don't follow teams in Europe I have no idea how good he is but people are very excited.

From what I know of him, he is a decent young player and a good prospect.
The only reason I would have one eyebrow raised, and am not just saying this as a Chelsea fan, is that we had all but signed him a month ago, then all of a sudden we pulled out of the deal at the last minute and switched our attention to Garnacho, and I cannot see why, unless Chelsea FC know something the rest of us dont.
But I was happy enough when we were going to sign him, so........

Risky signing but has high potential. Clearly wasn’t first choice but not a bad signing considering how desperate Spurs are and how late it is in the window.

Can play on the wing or as a 10. 22 years old and has already played in Spain, France, Holland and Germany so decent amount of experience already.

The Risk? Is that not having played in the PL or do you see other factors?

Yeah never know how players will adapt to the physical side and speed of the Premier League. The fact he’s played in multiple leagues already is a good thing for me though.

You can also see in that analysis video why Frank would like him... Clearly talented baller with a wide range of passing, but he is also a presser and harrier despite his relative smaller stature. And not afraid to challenge with his head or put a foot in. £60m seems a lot, but if we do get him then I think its a decent gamble.

Simons has impressed at PSV and Leipzig.

Not amazing, but not in the same conversation as a player who impressed at Leganes and Eibar.

There seems a lot of negativity on here regarding Simons.

Think he’s an absolute baller and im confident he will hold his own with the physicality of the premier league.
Hes deceptively strong . Hes such a busy player incredible footwork, great touch, vision and plays with this air of confidence.
I predict everyone will be raving about him soon.

Onto Akanji - Would be an astute signing, right footed but Pep played him a lot on the left as like Spence excels against inverted wide players coming inside. Would also take Ake too.

if we get a CB and then wrap up with a LW that would be an outstanding transfer window.
