I don’t think I’ve ever not got myself a ticket one way or another. It would save me three figures on the train as well as the ticket price.
1200. I quite like the way we do it. They hold 20% back for general sale. The only issue being the website is ****ing **** and will randomly go live ten minutes early or ten minutes late so it becomes a lottery. Still a bit surprised they’ve got through the first 80% quite so quickly but c’est la vie.
I'd be fuming if we held back 20% of a 1200 allocation for general sale. Someone on over 10 away games could miss out on someone with none. There's been a few of our fans crying this season saying all away tickets should be balloted and it's a closed shop etc. Of course what they really mean is they don't want to go to a Hull or a Sunday match at Ipswich but expect to get a ticket for a London away.
Yeah I get that but I think it’s right that a teenager has a chance of going to Pompey, for example, rather than racking up years and years of those sorts of games before having a chance and ultimately the 1000 most loyal still are guaranteed. I could argue I did some of the silly away midweeks last season but someone who has kept their season ticket for 50 years and does one away a season could argue they deserve it more. There’s never going to be a perfect system.
We reset ours every year around Christmas time so we don't have the years and years issue other clubs have. Fratton is in January meaning last season's games don't count anymore (sadly for me) so teenagers can easily qualify for it. You're right no system is perfect but this is the fairest you can get imo as it's based on recent attendance. Wouldn't mind 10% going to a ballot but not for really small allocations or Fratton.
They are quite a physical side with some rather big units ... very dangerous at set pieces ... your boys will need to be 'up for it' ...

I didn't know about Ole but knew about Jose. I know he stated previously he wanted to manage a bottom Prem club, wondering if there is any options for him there at the moment.
Renewed my Now TV (SKY Sports) for another 6 months. My contract period was up, so had to deal with it otherwise they charge you £34.99, so I just go in and cancel, that prompts the online function to give you an offer, got £20 a month for the next 6 months, so until late March 2026, I'm happy with that. No way would I pay the £34.99 I would switch to TNT otherwise, because they get Prem and CL.
They did cross my mind. Not sure how West Ham fans would feel about that, also is he too controversial for the owners?
I’d love to know the viewing figures for these Sky+ games. Presumably Salford have to get permission to move the game to attract more United/City fans in rather than Sky being arsed enough to move it themselves but that’s a **** of a journey for Cheltenham on a Friday.
Got Sky on my phone now courtesy of the sister-in-law's 'Virgin TV Go' account... got TNT sports as part of our BT package....
Tranmere used to do the same, play Friday to avoid Everton and Liverpool. Did the journey up there once on a Friday, and has it happens it was a really good journey, but I think that was more a case of getting very lucky with the roads that day. Certainly wouldn't risk it on a Friday out of choice. I think some of the revenue will come from oversea viewers or UK VPN users, but wouldn't think they would number many...but I have seen with my lot more and more people going that way and it's £10 a throw.
That's good mate. I did have TNT a couple of seasons back, but got pissed off with them putting the price up. So now I've got SKY £20pm and I paid for annual subscription (£95) to watch DAZN has they have all of Serie A. I might do a temporary subscription to TNT for the late stage of CL, if any English clubs are doing well. Not sure how long I've got on my internet contract, could be tempted to switch to BT if they do a decent offer including TNT, it's just catching these packages at the right time.
Talk was we sounded him out once we got promotion, apparently he turned us down as he'd not long been there. Another big defeat tomorrow and watch this space
Yeah I'd be all for Jose going to your lot...his antics are funny, if not sometimes a bit OTT. I think the only time he pissed me off was when he made life difficult for Antony Taylor, I didn't approve of that...it was a step too far, considering his family had to run guantlet.
