I won't pretend to know much about him, but the reaction from those who do makes this seem like a real coup. Which then makes me wonder why we are able to get him for only £7m? Is his contract expiring or something?

Yeah did wonder similar. I remain hopeful, even excited we can still unearth a few gems all at the same time, get them to gel & become a rear force. Jeez, just saw a pig fly past the window …

I've long since stopped basing my expectations off the transfer fee paid, mainly thanks to our friends Sulemana, Carillo, Boufal and the rest. But just found it interesting to see such a reaction for a £7m signing.

No chance this happens. If he’s as good as people are suggesting and available for that little, someone bigger will gazump us.

This one has Cody Gakpo written all over it. We tried. we really wanted the player, the player was happy with terms BUT BUT BUT. Anyway, BBD has been excellent in training....

(I'm trying really hard to not get excited for this one and desperately hoping to be wrong, so wrong)

I feel like I’m the only person who rates edozie.

I thought he had potential but he didn’t. Not showing any sign of developing into a threat. Sam Amo and Tella offered more in the end. Maybe will come right. Might need the mythical run of 10 games

He runs in pretty circles a lot. Seems to have done pretty much the same thing at Anderlecht too (who haven't come back in for him either), so I don't think we're losing much by selling him, unless you like pretty circles.

I like Edozie because he actually takes a man on, something so few of our players do. He is an excellent dribbler, decent acceleration and commits players. However he is a bit lightweight, and his end product is more hopeful then anything. That short period in our last season in the Championship before he picked up an injury he was our most dangerous player, he was a breath of fresh air, probably because while everyone else was passing backwards and sideways his first thought was always forwards. I would have been happy with him as an option this season, but it was obvious from early into pre-season that Still didn't fancy him, and he's not so good that you adjust how you play to get him in the team, so fair enough. Best to get him a move and bring in the wingers that can hopefully contribute more to the all important goals and assists.

He takes a man on but has very little end product. If it's a question of getting him out to make space for Scienza it's an absolute no brainer.

His end product and lack of physicality are his weak points. That said I'm pretty sure his goal and assist stats per minute were actually very good last time we were in the Championship.

Edozie is still really young. Was scoring and assisting in the Champ at 20 years old and would be the best player for some of the bottom half teams.

Will likely go off-radar for a few years and then end up playing for a decent Serie A side.

Good summary. He was decent before injury but never rediscovered form afterwards.

Never heard of this Leo mush

He showed much more than Sulemana in the championship imo.

Yeah but lots of people were happy to write Edozie off but still believe Sulemana would come good which I found odd
