Watfords tactics were similar to those experienced years ago by teams from the north back in the good old days in the 70s and 80s in the old 3rd and 4th divisions. Physical and a bit of pace but nothing else. AS substitutions nearly got us the win though.
Yes - I agree Swanitalian, almost a throwback to watching the Swans play the likes of Bury, Chesterfield etc on a wet Wednesday standing on the North Bank
and the occasional flooded centre circle. In those dark and distant days players never played away from the flooded areas instead getting bogged down with the ref falling over with them
That looks like the pitch from March onwards when there would be dozens of postponed games and local cup matches played on it regularly
