If only we had people in charge like Johnson and Sunak who oversaw a massive rise in energy prices eh? Headcase aye someone is.

The real reason we have high energy prices is the ****s who privatised power in the 80s but many will not judge them but rather judge a person in a snapshot on how he eats. That’s why our country is fckd.

This guy has a different view. It’s a long watch, 39 minutes, but as you have already said, you listen to the experts, he has his ideas on why the expert approach could be flawed, not only in relation to high energy prices but in general.
I have no idea on your background but he taught at the LSE so has to have a bit of intelligence about him.
You should recognise him straight away and I think your first reaction would be “racist” based on one public comment he made and later apologised for. But in general I don’t think he’s stupid and his views should be given credence.
If you want to skip to the high energy prices go to the 29:00 minute point, otherwise watch the lot.
Oh aye….he doesn’t have any time for Blair or Starmer.

I certainly listened to experts on the European referendum as I genuinely wanted advice to make an informed decision. The experts were right as they predicted it would have massive negative effects to the economy whilst making the immigration and boat problem worse. The experts were right on this occasion.

Given privatisation happened 40 years ago I and most balanced people would recognise it has been a disaster whether you want to talk about, water, energy or rail. We can see it with our eyes.

The country’s high energy costs are directly down to privatisation with lack of infrastructure investment over decades, little investment in cheap green technologies and shareholders creaming the profits so we see little investment.

Of course the right on here want to blame the ‘headcase’ Milliband because it hides the fact of the clusterfck of privatisation.

il pass on video thank you, I’m sure his names goes before oh and what a surprise he doesn’t like left leaning politicians

The real reason is all main parties with there over zealous green policies, if you believe UN policies, then we should still be using coal fired power stations, over 800 years of coal sitting under our feet and still cheapest form of fuel.

ha ha its down to pushing failed green policies, fancy paying for wind turbines when they don't produce electricity, or fields full of solar panels that get blown away in gale force winds, Miliband is a grade 1 idiot along with his policies, we can't do without oil or coal what do you use in winter when we have no wind or solar. You really need to do more research before putting your size 12 in.

because neither Labour or Tories could get them to work without striking, the miners were out for a year, poor buggers didnt realise Maggie had stockpile millions on tons for that very reason, BL were always on strike no car industry to speak of now, same for the shipyards world leaders in that field until the trade unions, commie led by people like yourself whipped up the workers to strike, now only a faint history best forgotten

Mate, I’m trying to give a balanced view here. Don’t watch the video, I’m not bothered.
You appear to be very much a fully paid up Labour Party member and they can do no wrong. Here’s a surprise for you. Like every single ruling political party there has ever been in history they can and have done wrong.
Here’s another surprise for you. As much as you want socialism to work. It doesn’t. It has failed everywhere. Cuba, China, USSR, North Korea, Venezuela and every other country that tried it. The reason? Human nature gets in the way. It would be lovely if we could all work together in harmony for the good of the state. But we won’t. Capitalism may not be the best solution either but I’d rather work in a capitalist system where my efforts are rewarded back to me and not given out to a thousand others who don’t have my work ethic which is what you seem to espouse.

Maximising free energy is not over zealous but I’m sure Trump and Farage tell you what’s what.

Never been a member of any party and I have balanced views but I prefer not to listen to racists but you can’t get moved for Farage and his ilk these days. The right wing media’s influenced views by some on here are laughable though.

you don’t need to be a raging leftie to know privatisation has been a massive failure and we are all paying for it. Great for a handful of shareholders though.

Dear me. Your posting is laughable - if you ain’t a bot you are one sad chap trawling right wing media to regurgitate on here. Mind it works for the gullible and thats why Nigel’s backers are chucking millions at it.

I’m no fan of Scargill and his ilk so your presumptions are laughable. However, if you want to quote the Miners strike the way Thatcher behaved towards mining communities was beyond despicable and she won’t be needing coal where she is now because of it if there is a God.

You are beyond help, go and do a very basic google search and you will find you are talking out your arse. Trump and Nigel said Green energy is daft so it must be true and here is their parrot
