Isn't that just fans generally though? Overestimate the readiness of promising kids? I'd also suggest that it's better to get regular game time in the National League than play a bit part in L1 or 2. Theres also not much difference between top half National league and the majority of L2 in standard.
I always thought it was but then autocorrect changed it to tidbits so I rolled with it. Tids or tits, I absolutely love them both.
I've just googled it and tidbits is the American version. If nothing else I'm an international linguist.
Oh yeah the kids are always bigged up. I just like to see youth players climb the leagues with their loans. Ours seem to stagnate or even regress down the leagues in their next one. TLT probably the only one who's on the right track from that perspective. Vaughan needs a League Two loan the most you'd say, where he actually plays most games. It's probably make or break for his career this season?
Would be an ideal signing you'd think. Cover for CB and LB, meaning we have third choice options across the back line who are all senior players. Only place I'd feel we were light would be central midfield, particularly if Laalaoui is going out on loan as suggested above.
Bit surprised to see Cartwright go down to National League after being successful at Grimsby. I guess that shows what they're up against when finding placements. Think Vaughan would be the obvious one for the right L1 or 2 club. He's probably one where the style of play is perhaps more important than the actual division though. Needs to be a passing side. No sense in sending him into a hoofball side.
Yes Cartwright was in my mind I just couldn't think who I knew who was a classic example of dropping down. Thought he'd potentially even get a L1 loan this season. Fully agree on Vaughan as well, he needs to have a team that will match his strengths or he'll be on the bench like at Bristol Rovers.
If we could get Vaughan out to Grimsby, that would suit him well. Artell has got a decent squad, playing football and not hoof-ball, they look to have a found a goalscorer in new signing Jaze Kabia and are unbeaten in their first five league games as well.
As far as I know, Pharrell Brown has only ever played three games of competitive men’s football, two for Fleetwood and once for Clitheroe. He looked great in pre season, but if he’s going to spend a season somewhere, you want him to be guaranteed minutes from the get go. He could go to an Oldham or a Tranmere, but then you’ve got him fighting for a first team spot as a youngster with a very short CV and if it doesn’t happen, he’s not going to develop. If he’s in the National League, ok the opposition won’t be as good, but he’ll feel comfortable and will probably get more minutes. If he does really well, we can always recall him if another club from the EFL wants to take him. I’d be surprised if Vaughan went down to the National league given his last couple of moves have been EFL ones, but now Oldham are back he might end up there.
He has gone gaga and all his medals have” disappeared “.He has either given them away or someone has helped themselves. Saints are trying to find them for him.
That’s not even true for Kalman. New term starts next week so he’ll only have time to be on here 15 hours a day.
I think as long as they’re full time sides it’s fine, it’s not as though there’s a huge difference in quality between League Two and the National League these days. They’ve got a good set up there with Simon Grayson and Neil McDonald in charge, plus Ronnie Moore is still there somewhere. Think he’s a scout. And of course the now 36 year old Nicky Featherstone as club captain.
