That's a truly pathetic argument to be honest.

I'm not being abusive and not saying anything that isn't polite or illogical.

Seriously, if you can't debate without accusing me of arguing, which I'm clearly not, perhaps ignoring me is the safest place for you.

You seem offended that I believe Sunderland, my team, wouldn't fight harder than Liverpool did.

That's fine, you're entitled to believe Sunderland would just fold ...

... but don't make out I'm some kind of weirdo nutcase for thinking Sunderland would put up a fight.

I was there when we battered them 3-0 and David Vaughan scored.

Balls into the box are the way against Liverpool mind. They are still awful at them.

I’m not accusing you of arguing or anything, I was correcting you on what was said. To be honest I think you take this forum far too serious and that reply proves it to me, I’ll stop replying now. Enjoy your night

I was just having a laugh at the Mags, that's as serious as it gets mate.

You're the one who's defending Newcastle and claiming they'd batter us.

So please, put me on ignore, stop replying and don't ever respond to me again.

You clearly don't have the intellect to debate without becoming personal.

I don't need your permission to 'enjoy my night' ...

... I can do that perfectly well without being told Newcastle were hard done to.

So, put me on ignore and don't bother me ever again, there's a good lad.

I thought the opposite me, they had Liverpool on the ropes with ten men. I’m buzzing they lost but I’m not confident of us turning them over like

They don't need a bigger offer imo ...

... they'll probably win the league whatever happens.

If you had any kind of rationale I might be bothered to debate your point ...

... as it is you're just a bit sad tbh.

Keep defending the Mags, there's a good lad.

Saw 3 of them live myself. But I’d argue our teams were very similar levels back then. I’d love us to do them though

They’re a team of bullies for sure. Guimares gets away with murder, dirty ****er. For Howe to claim Gordon looked like he was pulling out of the challenge…even though he said he hadn’t seen it… just **** off yer creepy gobshite.

Tonali deserved his injury for his over dramatic salmon leap after a wee push, then put his shoulder out.

    anyway, glad they got beat.

The thing for me about Liverpools midfield is that tonight it missed someone like a Xakha, a Caicedo, a Rice. Someone to put their foot on the ball, play simple safe passes at times, make space to receive the ball and take the sting out of the game, marshall the midfield and try and dictate the pace. Mac Alister would do it if he was available and I think it showed. At times the Liverpool midfield got crowded out, too many little passes to players under pressure, too much trying to force the play, not enough making space. Once the mags turned it over they pushed Liverpool back, even with the man advantage the Liverpool midfield didn't seem set properly and basically crumbled when the mags got one back. But why they played such a high line for the equaliser was stupid. Yes, they're worried about Burn winning headers, but such a high line always leaves you vulnerable to getting caught out by balls into space behind being collected by pacey players, something the mags have. The mags played well, but despite winning both games so far, Liverpool haven't been that impressive to me.

And you're right, with the mags it was like watching Stoke under Pulis, only with generally better players. A physical midfield that tries to bully you and isn't averse to cynical, dirty fouls and getting the ball up front quickly including going route one to quick forwards.

On the ropes is a slight exaggeration. They played Pulis ball as someone mentioned. I think we deal far better with both of their goals than Liverpool did (mind, I think I’m a better centre half than Konate, and I’m 5’ 6”) and I think I defend the ball to Guimaraes way better.

I saw nothing to scare me at all. They “battered” (large overstatement for me mind) Liverpool, who were absolutely terrible and thought they had it won at 2-0 and took their foot off. Very complacent. And Newcastle, had they tried to play football instead of hoofball, might have had a better day.

Mind, they got so much from the ref it was embarrassing. Burn with 2 awful challenges, got one yellow. Bruno committed about 8 fouls. One if which was at least twice as bad as most Liverpool yellow cards! That scares me more than their football.

O think you get at them and wind them up, they’re likely to snap

I think that's actually a blueprint of how to beat Liverpool ...

... but also the way to beat Newcastle.

I wasn't impressed with either of them.

Great result last night but I think it's a disgrace that Liverpool are putting a 16 year old under that kind of pressure... :emoticon-0136-giggl

The ball was only in play for 40% if the time, the lowest since a Pulis stoke team

Newcastle are a hard team ti play against when they played with controlled aggression, they didn't play with that last night tho

Liverpool out of possession look so poor at the minute imo, they will be better once they get MacAllister back but they should be going all in on getting Guehi as Konate has been shocking so far
