Oh god, let's not start this again! My reply was meant to be tongue in cheek! That said, racism often varies pretty widely across countries. Using the term "nyiger" in Russia is not considered racist, it's like saying "black person" in Britain. But using the term "Caucasian" is often seen as racist as it is used to refer to people from the Caucasus Mountains (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan). It would be like calling someone from India or Pakistan a "paki" in the UK. So the Hernandez example doesn't necessarily hold that much water as it depends on the cultural context. But let's not go there again!
More importantly, he has done pretty well to make it to the level he has considering has has got no arms
We didn't go to Manchester in the end.. did have a bit of a mad one saturday night though.. 2 day hangover ensued.
Apparently Clattenberg 'saw it' but didn't think it worthy of punishment. Think that says it all really.
Ah, but this is surely the great conundrum of our time? Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal have apparently all gotten substantially weaker over the last couple of seasons, whilst Liverpool have strengthened significantly. And yet...well...the table doesn't lie It's a puzzle alright. Maybe the answer can be found in the Large Hadron Collider?
Did someone call me? I see all was exactly as expected. However, I reckon any sort of announcement means they're more confident of proving its existence than not. We shall see.
I have actually been reading up on this **** you two have been boring us with for weeks... So they think they have found the god particle. what does this actually benefit us?? even bigger weapons?? space travel? will it turn lamposts into teleportation devices? will it mean ET pays us a visit any time soon? will it solve the economic problems facing the world?
It means we can't travel through time. And explains why light doesn't weigh anything. So you can see how important it is To be honest at this point it's hard to say exactly what the implications are until we've actually found it. But under the Standard Model, the Higgs boson and the Higgs field is the reason some particles have mass and others (like light photons) have no mass. So potentially, if we can isolate the Higgs boson and fiddle around with it, we could understand more about the nature of mass, and maybe manipulate that in the future. Which could lead to some wacky antigravity engines, flying cars and the like. Or it might not...
