So who’s won this utter farce?

Trev will win his headline game.
He always wins his headline game.

When I say "win" I mean he will find some made up excuse as to why all the other entries / votes are somehow ineligible and why his is therefore the only one that can win, even if only via cheating.

One of my favourite plays ever. Saw it years ago in London when Gavin Richards was the lead.

And for that reason I’ve liked your earlier post.

Well, all this excitement is just too much to take. But well done for getting it all wrapped up and announced before the next game kicked off Trev, that can't have been easy.

And the votes have now been cast and counted. The decision has been made and it is now time to announce the winner.

On counting the votes it would on face value seem as if the Hillbilly has won. Closer examination show a blatant attempt by the Hillbilly to fix and rig the vote. No one but the Hillbilly has voted for the Hillbilly. The sanction after careful and lengthy deliberation by the Executive Committee is to disqualify the Hillbilly.

We then have 3 entries all on 2 votes.

The entry ‘Blankety Blank’ is again on careful scrutiny disqualified. In the initial post a libellous slur was included and due to it now being subject to litigation the entry cannot be considered.

The entry ‘Alexander the Ingrate’ is also disqualified as it has clearly been the subject of foreign interference as shown by the vote of Hamish in its favour. For the sake of a free democratic vote not influenced by foreign powers that entry is rightly disqualified.

The next entry ‘Villans and Magpies play’ sadly also is disqualified. On scrutinising the vote it was noticed that a teacher voted in its favour. On a public policy basis that entry cannot be allowed to win. What message does that give when teachers can wile their time away looking at the internet instead of teaching our children.

That then leaves Creaky Grinders but Fat Boy voted for that entry. The very same person who cast the above mentioned slur. Again for legal reasons that cannot be condoned and is, therefore, disqualified.

The final Final entry of ‘Spit the Dog’ received no votes and cannot therefore be seriously considered and is therefore ignored.

The Executive Committee has then considered the remaining Headlines and after very fair, transparent and open consideration are pleased to announce that this Game’s winner is

Wow, congrats Trev. Amazing result. So well deserved. Who'd have thought it? If only I'd had the foresight to put a bet on this, the odds were so favourable.

To be honest, the further I got down the disqualification list, and once the ‘also rams’ were mentioned… the more certain I became that you were going to announce that “Isak rejects lure of Cash” was a clear winner.

Obi did warn me. I accept that.

You just have to remember that it’s the people, the public who decide.
