Yeah saw that, hopefully he's not out for too long Mukiele should start on Tuesday so be good to see what he's like fitness wise then
Must admit, wouldn't mind going to a game where I don't have anything to do with it. The last one I went to was Wollongong Wolves against Newcastle years ago when we were visiting relatives down under. Still got involved!
The international man of mystery Keep me posted when you're back mate, always a real pleasure to see you and the lads. Pleased I could help you with tickets today, shame we didn't get the result we easily could've. I just felt Burnley made the game scruffy, awkward and disjointed ... ... wouldn't surprise me if they made the floodlights flicker!
It's a groin injury and will be assesed tomorrow, Le Bris said in his post match interview. You could see Ballard holding it just after he nodded it down for Mayenda
Yes mate legend for sorting them out the youngun had a great time, will txt you when im back for the next one. Thought Burnley just did Burnley things sat deep didnt do much else but popped up when it counted unfortunately, firmly believe they will finish bottom of the pile, all the time wasting diving etc against the worst team in the league in many people's eyes was quite embarrassing imo.
Think your giving Parker a bit too much credit to be honest. The way i see it is we were the better side first half but missed a couple of chances. They literally scored a well worked but preventable goal within 2 minutes of the restart then sat in and played on the break exactly what we and probably every recently promoted team would do. We simply didn't have the nous, creativity or simple bounce of the ball to break them down. Whether Parker or frankly any of us knew we would struggle against a low block is highly unrealistic considering it was only our second competitive game with this set of players and no one has actually played a low block against them.
First goal today was most important. Feel if we got it the gates open. If they got it they sit in Unfortunate We go again I also like the fact the manager and players are putting the first goal down as a sloppy mistake I think we lost Cullen but I wasn’t that harsh on it, shows the level they’re thriving to be at in the squad to fix it The second goal comes on the break as we’re pressing
Tough on Ballard but getting Mukiele a chance in the team could be good for us he’s played at a seriously high level never as a CB in a back 4, but if he takes to it it could be our signing of the summer
Xhaka is good in possession but seems pretty poor off the ball not gonna lie. Hopefully he grows into it rather than being regular. He’s gone from a side who dominate possession to one who don’t
Frustrating. They started better, we missed couple big chances, they had goal disallowed not sure much wrong with it from angle was at. We controlled long periods of first half & were better side. but then didn't start second, switched off conceded, poor for 20 mins then back on it but fxcked about, didn't shoot then got caught on break & game over Very good to have a few beers with @Washysafc before the game, both got talking post gane in spoons to other groups.....trains absolutely rammed coming back
Shame I couldn't meet up with you both today, just couldn't get enough staff in ... ... I'm up for the Brentford game if either of you are passing the Museum.
Le Bris: Small mistake cost us the game Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris claimed a "small mistake" after the restart led to Burnley's opener and completely changed the game at Turf Moor. He said: "Disappointed. We started well, our first half was positive and we created two chances. We dominated the first half. "At the beginning of the second half, we made a small mistake and conceded the goal. "Then the game changed completely. They dropped into their aggressive block and we struggled to create chances." When asked for an update on Ballard's injury, Le Bris added: "He is always really important. We will wait until Monday for a diagnosis. It was a groin injury."
No worries mate would have been good to see you for a bit craic, if dont see you next week will definitely catch you, definitely doing forest
But he never has been quick we knew that when we signed him. He's always played on teams that dominate the ball so he's not used to it really being exposed. We've got legs around him in Sadiki and Diarra which will hopefully help him out but his lack of pace will be exposed from time to time I'm just hoping his ability on the ball and his organising of the team around him is more beneficial than his lack of pace is detrimental
Always good to see you mate, always smiling ... ... I'll be at Forest so will catch up then at the latest. All the best Prof.
