    Well go on then Vinni debate my point to you. You explained the damage that can be caused by running into somebody with a raised elbow. Now explain why what Rooney did wasn't dangerous. Step up to the plate and debate with us instead of spouting endless inane ****!

    ive been trying to debate all the time. rooneys elbow being that high was dangerous. but imo, it wasnt there to smash mcarthey in the face and cause him damage.. i think he was just trying to run/jump around him because mcarthey tried to obstruct rooney

    Yeah i used to play rugby. You run into people all the time and sometimes you knock the other guy to the ground and keep going. But only a coward or somebody intending to hurt his opponent would aim an elbow at the other guys head. But that is Rooney for you - a cowardly thug!

    1. Being elbowed deliberately doesn't mean blood will be pissing out your face. Could just shake you up a bit.
    2. Why go on about balance whilst jumping, when that's completely different?
    3. Football is physical but not thuggish.
    4. Rooney can't be defended here. He deserved a red and a ban for Violent Conduct.

    What gives Rooney the right to occupy the space taken up by another player. McCarthy was mobile and tracking the play. Rooney either speeds up and outruns him or checks his run. He has no right to charge into somebody with a raised elbow. What are you and Rooney young children who think the world revolves around you and other people have to get out of your way!?

    ok, if thats the way u see it.. watch mcarthey look up then step in rooneys path to obstruct him. now, correct me if im wrong thats against the rules and warrants a yellow card, did he get one? what gave him the right to do that if u wanna talk about rights
