You could see that he kept his head down and got on with it on Saturday, just hope he keeps that up and we will see less going to ground from him. Apart from when there is at least minimal contact 'al la Moderic' in the box of course.
As suspected England's next manager got off with his ref rant after the Stoke game, his friends at Sky Sports even 'airbrushed' his swear word from their quote of what he actually said. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7376149/FA-warning-for-Redknapp
Any reason why Liverpool fans are taking about "hypocrisy" and then going on to talk about players going down with minimal contact as shall we start a discussion about steven gerrard or isn't that allowed?
Thats the point, of course Modric went down with little contact but every club has players that will go down with little contact, in fact usually its the players you don't expect as when your behind and trying to get back into the game some players do whatever they can to get a goal.
No,the point is certain players are pilloried by the press etc for doing it and others are'nt,a little bit of parity and clarity would'nt go amiss.
You want Modric attacked by the press for going down easy? why would that make you happy? isn't that immature. As far as I'm aware Modric has never been known as a "diver" but there was contact and while I don't agree, he went down and that seems to be the "rule" now for footballers, if there is contact then you can go down.
I did'nt say i want anyone pilloried by the press,i said its unfair that some players are and some are'nt. And if it is now an unwritten "rule" to go to ground to easy it should be totally outlawed or accepted as part of the game, there should'nt be a grey area between the two to suit certain managers, referees or news outlets.
Even poor Sir Chris Hoy got grief over the refs decisions in the Stoke v Spurs game. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16146536.stm
Page_Moss_Kopite, it seems as a set of fans Liverpool feel everyone is out to get them so can understand if you're feeling like certain decisions aren't "fair" but from what I have seen your manager does seem to have a chip on his shoulder and maybe that is brushing off on your players.
Putting your comment into perspective i'd add that your making like Kenny has the same atributes as Fergie, massive chip on his shoulder, seige mentality, comes out fighting whenever his club is critisised etc. So does your critisism of Dalglish also apply to the likes of Fergie for having a similar mindset?
I think the point my fellow Lfc fans are making is if you're going to hang draw and quarter Suarez, there has to be consistency and other players have to face the same punishment. I also find it ironic that a few Spurs fans on here are playing the innocence card about diving - Weren't you the guys that brought the greatest German diver to our league (Klinsmann) People in glass houses and all that !!!
Who has had a pop at Suarez though? Most of the time it's not for the dive as much as the predictable volume of dives in games, followed closely by a petulant reaction. This thread has been a total fail hasn't it? Harry didn't swear on live TV, he has been warned by the FA about his comments on the ref and there was no inconsistency or hypocrisy because he, unlike Dalglish, did not bring up a blinkered view of past decisions to imply that all the decisions were going against them.
