I have to admit as a rule I don’t watch the PL, however I do keep an eye on Semenyo, he’s come on leaps and bounds hasn’t he, his second against Liverpool was absolutely brilliant. What a player he’s turned into.

I have to admit I thought of the two Scott was the most likely to progress, and I know he’s been held back by injury, but he doesn’t seemed to have improved anywhere near as much as Antoine.

Purchase price 20 million - Selling price 80 million = 60 million profit X 20% = 12 million to Bristol City? Nice, so go out and spend some of it on decent players.

Similar to the goal against Fulham away from us. I always liked him from when he was snapped back quickly from Newport. Always got bums of seats, like a raging bull.
And yet some, thought he would never make it and was not championship standard.

They paid £10 million. We had to sell quick or fall breach of FFP that season.

In top flight football today, pace beats skill. Scott has an abundance of one, Semenyo has the other, and can assist and finish as well - a very valuable commodity.

I admit I was a doubting Thomas at first with him.
Everyone was raving about him but the first time I saw him play for us he got himself sent off vs Derby. I was not impressed.
He did get better and better though.
Just proves I could never be a football scout!!

Saw this on OTIB, look how much more built up it is now. Much of the houses around Ashton were built in the 1930’s. When I grew up in Ashton Vale in the sixties it was pretty much as it is now, apart from the industrial bit between what used to be Ashton containers and the whitening yard. Imagine now the outcry if a similar number of houses were built, by the Nimby’s. There’d be an outcry.
