Ings left at the end of his contract didn’t he? I think. I can accept a few sales, but selling all our decent players doesn’t bode well.
Well we're not selling Downes, Charles, THB (it seems) etc so we're not selling all our decent players. Just potentially the two jewels in the crown, which is sadly always going to happen when you're relegated (though I still hold out hope we're keeping Matty, which would be the most important piece of transfer business of the whole lot).
Just as well we're not selling all our decent players then. Besides those Laces listed we look like keeping JRob plus Manning and others who can put a shift in at this level. Keeping Matty this window would be the cherry on the icing.
By the time Everton sell Dibling those players will be in the 3rd division so they won’t cost as much as that. We could by 3 then.
Absolutely. If West Ham sack Potter the next manager might not want him as well. Better to play every week in the Championship and have your name sung from the stands than struggling to make the bench in the Premier League. Personally, I think Fernandes is too good for West Ham.It isn't much of a step forward in his career.
They're starting to get a reputation for paying £30m+ for CMs, only to loan them out within two years. Take note, Matty...
Reading on other forums Diblings transfer has a wide range of mixed opinion. Some wishing him well but a large minority thinking that perhaps he's grown too big for his boots and had somewhat downed tools or had a bit of an attitude. For me personally I think he's been ill advised and there is now a lot of pressure to perform placed upon the young lads shoulders. Either way think Saints got a good price for him. The main thing now is holding on to Matty, because I really think he's the difference between promotion and failure this season.
“Everton have agreed a £42m deal to sign Southampton winger Tyler Dibling; the deal includes £6m in add-ons and a 20 per cent sell-on clause” Grovelling??? Thanks for £42m & 20% sell on I say A lot of work yet to do if he’s going to fulfill his promise
The difference with Fernandes is that he has 4yrs left on his contract, and arguably the fans and seemingly the club rate him higher than Dibling. I imagine we'd be looking at a fee similar to what we got for Lavia for him (if it were to happen).
Will Still has said he wants a no10 and at least one wideman in the door during his press conference Or maybe he said he wants 10 men in the door.
So players who could go in next 9 days. 1. Edozie 2. Aribo 3. Smallbone 4. Sugawara 5. ABK 6. Fernandes. And maybe a surprise or 2? I think then we’d need to bring in 5-6 players, really need creativity, pace and to freshen things up.
A left back on loan could be needed as well as didn’t sound good when Still was asked about Wellingtons injury. A severely twisted ankle ligament damage could be anywhere from 3- 6 months
