We’re heading down an authoritarian route under Labour now. Led By Donkeys the protest group arrested for a banner, although I agree that attacking planes and some direct action has to be stopped I think proscribing Palestine Action is a mistake and an overreaction - there are enough laws. However I think Farage and his ilk are evil in suits and it will be a dark place to live the UK. It’ll be another level of grim. There are other options than Reform if you rightly want to object to the big two. The Lib Dem’s have never had the chance to run the country, the Greens will change things. Why pick a party that will openly side with billionaires and cut services for young people.
Yeh it's definitely the hot topic that I think voters really need to see some movement on and Labour seamingly don't have a plan and the Tories are a mess.
So you don’t believe in human rights? You think a billionaire funded political business led by an elite proven liar are better placed to decide what our rights are than a deliberately balanced consensus? Being honest I think anyone who would go for Farage deciding our rights needs to be sectioned.
Labour do have a plan to be fair and I’m not a fan of Starmers Labour https://labour.org.uk/change/strong-foundations/ Literal bullshit saying they don’t have one. Reform didn’t have one till yesterday, Labour did. That’s why reform get mileage. Reform are only just starting to make policies. Meaningless phrases that aren’t even true stick. I’d suggest you check facts. Do you support Reform’s economic policy ? After we’ve hounded out anyone different with force , banned protest and given power to businesses to end employment rights everyday people wil be poorer. We wont have more money cos the migrants have gone, we’ll have less. I dare you to prove me wrong.
I agree. She should’ve been charged. 31 months in prison was way over the top. I said in an earlier post though that she was the victim of bad legal advice as anything else.
They are working on this one https://uk.news.yahoo.com/labour-set-sign-2bn-contract-132103021.html They stink mate. Billionaire influenced politics stinks whatever the brand. Labour are less vile than the Tories and far less damaging than Reform would be for everyday people and they have definitely done some good things policy wise but they are becoming more authoritarian, less moral for cash and refusing to end child poverty.
I just posted a report on their policy relating to the boats/immigration for debate mate, I didn't come on for a left / right dingdong which you always turn it into.
If billionaires and lawyers weren’t buying Reform media airtime ahead of the Lib Dem’s and Greens democracy might have a chance.
I’m just posting this then if you’re open minded enough to consider it.‘it’s not my left right opinion it’s just an independent analysis https://www.ippr.org/media-office/analysis-of-reforms-tax-plans
Talking to my Turkish friends the other night and they were telling me of the problems they’re having. Mainly Afghan and Syrians flooding into their country, all seem to be men. The Syrian men are the guys who were fighting against the regime, so they’re trained soldiers. The Afghan men are causing a high number of attacks on women. They were saying the mentality of their cultures is at odds. The Turkish folk are sick of them and want them sent back but Erdogan won’t do it as he allows them to vote and it will keep him in power. It’s not just the people of the UK that aren’t happy these people are coming into the country, it’s right across Europe, including Turkey. Same problems, same stories. It’s no coincidence.
Tory MP incites violence and was rightly jailed. Labour councillor encourages people to cut the throats of others and avoids jail. Labour MP punches a man to the floor and avoids doing jail time after being sentenced. We are absolutely living in a two tier authoritarian state under Starmer.
Definitely tells me we need to be smarter about our foreign policy. If we just think about ourselves and don’t invest in aid, UN intervention in conflict, tackling climate change and destitution there’ll be a continual increase in the flow of migrants. Interesting though as I heard we’re the soft touch who opens the doors to anyone and have it worse than others. Nigel said.
