    Totally agree, we aren’t the biggest rugby watchers but when ya club is putting on a World Cup opener it’s a no brainer to turn up !

    Newcastle has a lot going for it but will never have a place in my heart like Sunderland. The feeling to see all the progress happening now is hard to describe.

    Yeah. I’ve lived away twice and always ended up back here. I’ve never been one to go through Newcastle much. Only for gigs really. I can’t say I’ve ever had a proper night out there. Sunderland just keeps getting better and better, and with what’s happening with the club makes it even more exciting.

    I’d say we’re overtaking it now or on their shoulder or coming up on the far side as they say in sporting circles.

    Yes the searchlights are still there but they're currently broken.

    Bruce said that lots of people have mentioned the lights do him and he knows an electrician who loves anything to do with lights. Maybe they'll come back one day!

    Not sure mate. I don’t think so as bars are open late. I think anyway. I’m 57 now so never out too late as chemist by about 8. I’m an afternoon drinker

    Actually just checked Tereace 2:30 am. Life of Riley 3:00am and apparently Trilogy which is a nightclub is 4:30am. Google is your friend my friend. That’s 3 bars within 100m.

    The Rabbit and TTonic are open till late.

    By the time they finish drinking and get a taxi back through here, the bairn comes rolling in as I'm getting up for the day :emoticon-0102-bigsm
