Fail. Neville confessed that his bitter hatred of LFC and scousers is due to his youth being unbearable because of Liverpool's success.
Thats a fair comment.. I dont mind Wilkins, at least he knows what he is talking about, Ben Shepard on the other hand has all the Football knowledge of a dead fish
Encore un fail. Neville stated that although he hates Liverpool he still respects them, the strength of their support and their history. You can hate a club without being bitter about it.
But hes only not bitter since he retired so as it stands he hates us,i prefer the pre retired neville,at least we knew were we stood.
Yeah im sure that one season in a 15+ year career when liverpool finished higher than united really made him such a bitter player.
Comment #61 shows were you lost track. Since retiring and becoming a pundit he has to show himself to be fair and unbiased, hence no nastiness towards LFC.
I dont hate Utd RR,and trust me i go back as far as you in supporting my club and remember the 'agro' at games between us,my bitterness is down to watching Utd gradually eat away at and finally overtake our title haul. Bitterness is a hard pill to swallow.
Ha yes agreed, my bitterness faded away as it became apparent we'd over take you and wash away all that angst from when I was a kid. A satisfactory role reversal!
Nah, that was the hatred. You fellas showed me the light. *I've never actually been bitter, I've always respected Liverpool's achivements*
Actually he said he respected Liverpool back in 2009, a couple of years before he retired. Don't worry, I'm sure he still hates you, but I guess now he's retired he has no professional reason to hate you (i.e. he'll never play against you again) which has probably taken the edge off How were they based in bitterness? Is a pundit criticising a player now a sign of bitterness? Would you have felt more comfortable if Neville has simply said Luiz displays no positional discipline whatsoever?
I didn't take offence to his comments on Luiz, Luiz didn't either after saying he loved Neville on twitter a few days after! AVB is the only one who's been OTT about it, it was an obvious joke and a pretty funny comparison!
This I thought it was pretty good to see a pundit actually come out with something original for once, rather than trot out the usual "poor positioning, can't get away with that at this level, he's switched off, not watching the rest of the defence" lines that they seem to have on tap.
Picky, picky I was actually having a bit of a wum - I still reckon Liverpool will be 5th or 6th, I just reckon 6th is now much more likely. Actually my original prediction was: 1st Chelsea / Utd 2nd Utd / Chelsea 3rd Arsenal 4th City 5th Spurs / Liverpool 6th Liverpool / Spurs So Liverpool is hardly the biggest revision there! My new prediction, taking into account the fact that Mancini finally has City going for the jugular rather than the 1-0, is: 1st City 2nd Utd 3rd Chelsea 4th Arsenal / Spurs 5th Spurs / Arsenal 6th Liverpool
All this talk...Neville's still a skiprat and his dads name's Neville what the ****'s all that about???
