Unfortunately for you there is law in this country and thus there are legal and illegal means to enter, exit the country as well as lots of other stuff that is legal or illegal. So if someone tries to enter a country by means that is deemed illegal then of course they are illegal immigrants!
I didn't ask google about small boats. I asked about "illegal immigrants. However as you admit above that we made an agreement with Pakistan to return "immigration offenders" it kind of makes a mockery of the statement we do not consider Pakistan a safe country? Are you now saying we made an agreement to send people back to an unsafe country? The UKs "safe countries list" is basically EU countries + India + Georgia. Under that list basically anyone who is not from Europe or India stands a pretty high chance of successful asylum but then if that were true then how could we pen a deal with Pakistan in 2022?
Illegal migration is the form of transit and cannot be applied to the migrant. International law states your legal status is only ascertained after your claim for asylum is assessed. In fact, it is not illegal to show up on the shore of the UK - and once you are here you are very much legal.

It is not semantics anymore than your choice of calling them illegal migrants. They are not recognised as such under UK or international law. So, your semantics are incorrect here. You can’t play the ‘facts’ game until you are wrong and then cry about it.
Because it's not as clearer cut binary thing as the name suggests to you; It's not an unsafe country for all, the failed applicant might not be considered to be in danger of being oppressed, they could be a criminal, a fleeing felon; or might likely be part of the oppression which makes Pakistan not a "safe country"
But this is half of the problem! Most people have no problem with genuine asylum seekers / refugees. Those that are genuinely in danger in their home country! The problem has arisen with most of these boats, and other methods of entry to seek asylum, being working age men seeking a better life but not actual "refugees" and that has been exacerbated by those in power, or those with ideological or some nefarious reasons for wanting to defend mass migration, by constantly trying to use the genuine asylum seeker to defend the vast numbers of non genuine asylum seekers! Quite often the first defense is "but the NHS.........." which strikes no blows in the public's imagination because these are people who are here legally from the start and obviously necessarily filling "skills" gaps. No-one is arguing to send half the NHS "back home." We would not be in this position if these power players had not played this game for so long! The other night I was watching something and "so Ukranians should be deported?" which is literally a stupid comeback against someone in an argument about "unauthorised migrants" in terms of genuine asylum or not. For a start most of the Ukranians did come through legal avenues and are women, children or the elderly! Of course the second attack once that is answered is the "racist" card where they then revert to "just because they're white" because their first attack failed. Reality is this current situation has been years / decades in the making because of those in power constantly trying to present economic migrants (for want of a better word) as all being genuine asylum seekers / refugees. And then of course trying to pin Brexit to it by suddenly championing how disastrous "losing access to" the Dublin Protocol is when even the European commission has constantly criticised its failing and, even when migration numbers were lower, only succeeded in a very very low number (single digit %) of successful requests (across the EU not just the UK) indeed in 2017 we ended up with more approved transfer to us than from us! Until about 2 months ago no-one was talking about the Dublin Protocol. Last 2 months increasingly it has become the No1 go to Farage attack and people seem not to care that they are now championing a protocol that has been re-written twice yet is still heavily criticised by the ECHR and the European Commission for its failings as if it used to be the magic bullet! It is not and all EU governments complain about its failings.........except now ours because it is flavour of the month and because it suits their cause to pretend it was of any use at all! If anything it has become worse since we got our deal done in 2018/19 yet still in this thread it has become the "magic bullet" and everybody ignoring it has never worked at all well! So lets stop pretending this is some kind of "gotcha" against Farage or anyone else! Well seeing as I am bad egg right winger and probably in most people's eyes, target audience for this kind of thing, I had not heard or seen of it until the post the other day on this thread! Most "right wing" stuff I get made aware of (on any platform) is because opponents of whatever they are posting "promote" it heavily and it appears then in trending and newsfeeds etc! In people's desire to denounce stuff they actually make it trend upward reaching vast amounts more! Its the only reason the Guardian and Mail survive. Because t'other side is always promoting the one they don't like.

I agree but it all adds to trending. Not particularly pointing at this one in particular because any sane person seeing the report would be able to see who the ar5e is posting sh1t as usual but there is a lot of cross linking from people opposed to the publication they are linking to that are actually helping it attract ad revenue. The Mail's website numbers are one of the biggest in the world but if you dive into the figures a vast amount of it is from links and from people who view for seconds and do not stay on the site! All counts for attracting advertisers though. Numbers I actually put in a post on here in 2018 was that 44.76% leave the site after visiting a page through a direct link. That's nearly half of people sent to Mail articles from link shares and have no interest in then clicking on any other article they see. average visit time was 6 minutes or so (reading single article?) Only 34.23% traffic from the UK average pages per visit was 20 (20 pages in 6 minutes??) can only be those others just clicking on scantily clad lady pics to see the full shots. Their numbers will be well up in the 7 years since these numbers. Its mostly people who don't like the mail that are making it able to attract all the advertising revenue!
