After talking to Billy I have opened a donation page in Janies name with cancer research and made a small donation from not606.

Anyone who wants to donate go to the their website and donate to page.

The page is Janie Billy, you can donate whatever you like but please please, its free choice.

Should add that if you donate and want to add the name of someone close to you I'm sure Billy wont mind.

My mam died at 38. I was 15. That was 36 years ago.

My dad donated a fairly healthy sum of £500.

I'll put a few bob in

    Nice touch Syd.
Lost my Dad to the big "C" six years ago.
We never did emotional but the last time I saw him conscious I said "I love you". He looked at me, riddled with pain and simply said "I know".
It was the last thing I ever heard him say and it wasn't the response I was expecting tbh. Looking back though, those two little words were the high-lite of my life.

Great idea Syd <ok> I sincerely hope that one day they will find a cure for the many people of all ages that have to endure this terrible disease.

In the grand scheme of things (although you would not believe it if you saw me over the weekend) there are many things more important than football. I would like to think we could put aside any footballing rivalries and come together to support someone who needs is. I do not know Billy personally however he has been nothing more than a top notch poster on here and that is what I base this off. He deserves our thoughts, prayers and support which we have extended to him and him family.

The gloves are on because it's not football syd, as QWOP says it's about Billy and his family. I'm sure normal service will be resumed Saturday at 3pm.
p.s. don't forget to gift aid it as well it's extra cash for them at no cost to you something to do with tax.

Something I have learned with age is this.

Despite our differences when you dig down, deep down. There's not a fanny hair breadth of difference between Geordies and Mackems.
