At this point there is absolutely no reason to sell both of them. I don't think we can afford to either. One (probably Dibling) is fine. Not both.

Seems to me that we have told both of them an acceptable price and they are both fine with it.

Have to commend both of them for their actions so far when you consider how players usually act when teams come in for them.

Been reported that Fernandes is keen on the West Ham move for example, if they do end up bidding what we have previously told him is the asking price and we turn it down because “soz it’s late in the window” then wouldn’t blame him for being pissed off and his behaviour changing.

We’ll see how it plays out, Fernandes is a lot less likely to leave due to the asking price being mental for any club to actually pay. A lot can happen in the next 10 days or so

We don’t really need to do much if we keep the squad we have. A winger coming in and we’re pretty set.

If 5/6 leave then we have a bit more to do but even if we sell Dibling and Fernandes for £100m I wouldn’t be expecting even half of that to be spent on players this season, and probably only a couple coming in

Yeah, leaked by West Ham. Taking that with a pinch of salt.

Of course he would want to go to West Ham over staying here, that’s a no brainer. It’s whether he’d want to go to West Ham if there are other clubs also interested.

If his options are West Ham or stay here he’d pick West Ham every time. Whether he’d kick off about the move remains to be seen, he hasn’t so far, that might change.

Not sure I'd want to go to West Ham right now, to be honest.

Over staying here? I think all players would pick West Ham. Will earn more money and play in the PL, it’s a no brainer.

Sure they had a bad result opening game, don’t think that will turn any player playing in the Championship off joining them if the decision is West Ham v current club.

I don't think it is a no brainer. If he waits, he probably gets a much better move.

Genuinely mean that too. He's what, 21? And he made a big thing about being fed up with football at the end of last season (which basically meant fed up with playing on a **** team that lost all the time).

If West Ham are his only option and it doesn't work out, I don't think he'll kick off, as going there would mean going to a **** team that loses a lot. He could afford to stay in a team this season that will win a lot and then potentially move to a better club come the summer. Of course he'd likely go to West Ham if an offer was accepted for the wages as much as anything, but I just don't think it's an attractive enough destination right now to mean he kicks off if it doesn't happen.

I get your point and I think the only reason he kicks off at this stage is if West Ham bid whatever the figure is we have agreed is our asking price and we turn it down. And that might be more down to the fact we lied rather than West Ham specifically.

If he really wanted the move he would’ve done something about it by now, so he’s clearly not that bothered by it.

Dear FC Nantes, make it an obligation and you have a deal. However please be aware that we will not accept an offer below £5.

Pretty sure we would also have told Fernandes that we won't sell him past a certain date too even if a club matches our valuation. We have been open about not wanting to sell our better players right at the end of the window before and just shutting up shop on the final day.

I know it's cool to hate on SR, but props to Phil Parsons and his team for getting the club into a position where we don't *have* to sell our star players, and certainly not on the cheap.

Doesn't even need to be an obligation. He's out of contract at the end of the season, so even with a season loan, he won't be coming back next season.
