Elliott is yours for £50m but try to get on with it theres only a couple of weeks left before the window opens. edit or even closes
Woolwich replace an injured player after 1 day, meanwhile Maddison was injured 17 days ago and Spurs are still messing around trying to win a deal, it says it all the focus is not on football, and the BBC are reporting Spurs held talks for 10 days
I think Eze's general availability and/or willingness to leave Palace this summer was tied to them being kicked out of the EL. But that happened 9 days ago. We should have had Eze tied up within 48 hours of that being confirmed.
and as CK has just posted, MGW was 28 DAYS AGO. with this much time passing, you simply cannot miss out on deals like Eze, especially in this manner. Thomas Frank has massively been let down. How many times have we said that about a manager?
JFC, the Lunatic Fringe are bringing up Berahino in their kvetching Yes, because we famously didn't sign anyone once West Brom's chairman started acting like a twat there...
If the deal hasn't been done because the club (DL) wouldn't add another £5m to the offer, or improved the terms, then questions will again have to be asked. But at least Frank has had an early indication of how things happen (or don't) at Spurs.
I don’t even get upset these days. I never expected it to happen anyway with all the delay. I was hopeful don’t get me wrong. But it is what it is. We do have a good squad already. I just hope we do get a singing over the line in the coming days that will appease the fans otherwise if we do lose a few games it will be a toxic atmosphere
let’s hope he didn’t sign his contract based on potential incomings he thought would be joining the club!
Tbh mate I just can’t be arsed to care much anymore. Yet another “we tried” signing. Same old **** with this club.
Amazing over-reaction. It's incredibly obvious that we couldn't have signed Eze earlier. Palace were doing all they could to delay the sales of Eze and Guehi. The release clause is irrelevant...if we had hit it then only Eze himself can enforce it and we've already seen what happens then. And to say that Levy has somehow managed to deliberately cause two £60m deals to fall because he doesn't want to spend the money is absurd. If Eze would rather join Arsenal than us then it's good to have found this out before he signed.
you become numb to it, don’t you? But at the same time, it’s just so tiresome seeing the same **** over and over again, though. Rinse. Repeat. However, I’m not sure we do have a good squad already. I think we’re going to massively struggle without further first XI additions. We’ve got a few injuries as it is, and our bench just doesn’t have the strength in depth. It needs to be a very busy and productive window for us with what little time remains. But if we haven’t done much so far, I don’t see it being resolved this late on. We’ll be left short again.
