Funny timing as I was chatting to a gooner colleague today saying about Spurs buying Eze and that they should have gone for him rather than Madueke.
Been saying to my Gooner mates they have to sign Eze this summer, with him Gyokeres, Madueke, Saka & the rest they could be proper title contenders
Eze is a great player, but… he is a very Palace player. Fast, wants to attack at pace. Would have suited last year’s Tottenham. Will be interesting to see how this goes.
It's just going to be difficult making only those type of signings, as that will likely cost a lot more than we are able/willing to spend. If we buy a player for 12m, sell him, say for 8m, that -4m loss is nothing in the grand scheme of things, if promotion is secured.
My only issue with this is that Boro fans on their board seem to think he is the player they would be willing to lose. They like him, but he isn’t essential for their team.
I've dropped a line to my Boro mate to see what he thinks. Is a season ticket holder there, and has decent knowledge, so...
I guess its similar to us and Dibbling etc. I wouldn't be too fussed if Dibbling is sold, but I think it would be much harder to replace Fernandes in terms of what he brings to the team, both with and without the ball.
Azaz would be a incredibly shrewd acquisition. I wanted him 2 years ago, Guy is excellent at this level.
