Next Spring is the new deadline, I use this daily and now it's open as a round a bout it's taking and extra 10 - 15minutes to get to and from work, this will get better as each junction to the round a bout looks like it'll open up into 3 lanes to get around it, but a the minute it's just 1 lane on all 4 sides.
Ye, if you can relax and switch off the reality checker in your brain, it was enjoyable to watch.. some good acting from the main actor.
Remember Suzy Quattro, Sinbad and Trog(Dave Turner) from Bunkers. Alan Jackson was another but later I think.
Are you sure? Pretty sure I remember him being there. I did hear that there were 2 lads nicknamed Sinbad. I think OLM mentioned it a few years back on here. Could be wrong, it was over 40 years ago.
The notorious Sinbad never used to go to City. A poster on here went to his funeral a few years back.
Sorry man, doing two things at once and not focusing. When you wrote is it ok?, i clicked on the alert flag top right to reply and assumed you were referring to the agreement to OLM's netflix recommendation of dept q, as didn't read the thread title. But now I see you were asking if it's ok to weave in and out of bollards on a cycle lane, so apologies.
Old ground this but here goes....... The original Sinbad was a skinhead who frequented the Monte Carlo Cafe on the corner of Midland Street, 1969 to 1971 ish. I never knew him to be a City fan or a football fan for that matter, but I must admit I was never in his close circle of friends, he was elusive and a few years older than most of us. Monte Carlo was a meeting place for mainly teenage skinheads and mods, many of them were City fans as 1970 was a good year for City crowd wise when Terry Neill was appointed as manager. The original Sinbad was a couple, maybe more years older then the majority of the lads, he was a name, a dresser and a character and he was also spot ball for the police if anything kicked off in the city centre. He was eventually arrested after an ice pick was allegedly used during a clash between skinheads and greasers down Whitefriargate. Little was seen of him in Monte Carlo after that incident. He did have a couple of younger brothers, much younger, and one could even have been a step brother or close relation and they were probably also named Sinbad and they did go to City around that time. I went to his funeral about ten years ago.
