He's been class on and off the pitch since he first arrived at the club. Real asset in the dressing room
Saying they will trash our biggest rivals as well https://x.com/pazzasafc/status/1958131816356786243?s=46&t=26DLp2oXvFO7UDfe5HEPwQ
Bloody hell, welling up here again. That was just so genuine, so emotional. It was brilliant, thanks for sharing that.
Beautiful video. Love how much Wilson has bought into the club and the area, can't ask for much more from a player.
The mags are handling the Isak situation horrifically. I don't care how much they and their fans try to spin it, they are to blame. He's a world class striker, well worth £130m+ in today's market. It would be hard to sell someone like that but you simply have to be willing to do so to move forward. You can't sit and whinge about PSR and FFP, complain about having to sell Anderson and Minteh to comply, while threatening to pretty much banish Isak to the reserves because he wants to move on. You have an opportunity to pretty much rid yourself of PSR/FFP concerns for years if you take the money, while also giving yourself a chance to replenish the squad. People can say stuff like players have too much power and complain about agents, but there's a food chain in football and players have pretty short careers. Yes he signed a long contract when he joined, but if there was a gentleman's agreement (which it's wildly reported there was) for him to leave or get a new contract, you have to honour that to move forward and make yourself more attractive to players. We've seen it first hand with Jobe, could've went last summer but signed a new deal with an agreement to let him move on this summer and I guarantee some of this summers signings have assurances that they can move on in a few years, no matter how long their contract is. That's why we're quite an attractive destination currently, because we will move players on. Player trading models are how you build your club and help you stay at the top when you get there. You have to bite the bullet and sell players then use the funds to progress. If NUFC sold Isak for the £120m offer from Liverpool, yes they may see it as low but that could've been spent on Eze for the reported £55m, perhaps Boniface for the £30m AC Milan are trying to get him for and then a couple of £25m project players. But instead it looks like they are going to have a £130m asset sitting in the reserves. I was quite fearful of NUFC's progression when Mitchell joined as he's a top operator, but he clearly seen the structure at that club and wanted nothing to do with it. They are a mess off the pitch and I can’t believe so many of their fans are fine with it. Apologies for the long post, just a bit baffled by what they are doing. Long may it continue.
The thing is, if we're only on twice by the end of October, it'll mean they'll change loads later in the season. As sure night follows day, expect a load of lunchtime, evening and Sunday kick offs in the second half of the season
He’d no doubt jump at a move to play for his old manager without having to move out of his house to the other end of the country.
