Speaking from experience as I have this, it shouldn't be the end of the world. It's unpleasant as you don't know what the **** is going on and blokes being blokes we always think it's the big C but once you get your head around the need to get things looked at and dealt with it is controllable. I'm no athlete, don't get me wrong, but I'm active so see no real reason why he can't be back. Not really sure how it would effect a high end athlete though, I suspect an edge would be taken away which seems to have been the case. It'll be steroids to start, a bit of weight gain, then once it's under control hopefully back to fitness. He'll have had the biopsies and cameras up his arse by now so he'll be alright!
Not about sensitivity. Say something funny (offensive or otherwise) and I'll laugh. Hell, you really don't have to try. But I've seen funnier rape victims than you two clowns. It's just the tiresome cliched digs at united that get on my tits. Use some actual wit and originality or do one. Now, back to the story at hand. Get well fletch, ya jock ****.
This isn't a condition I've heard of before, but it sounds ominous. Let's hope he makes a quick and full recovery.

Apparently Steve Redgrave had the same thing when he was around Fletch's age. So I'd say Fletch definitely has a great chance of making it back to the top level!
I have this condition too and it is debilitating but it can be treated. There is every chance he'll get back to a normal lifestyle again. Good luck to him..
Dont like to hear of any of our football family being ill whatever our allegiances are,get well soon matey.
I another life, I was a medical rep, and sold an an ulcerative colitis product. It's a very unpleasant condition and is uncurable (currently). I dislike Fletcher, but I hope he gets well soon.
Just spotted that. It's a genetic thing. With the biotech that's going on now, there's every chance someone's going to come up with something
I know, I found out once I'd dealt with it off me mam that my granddad had it. I'd have never known. Gutted I might pass it on to my boys though, I **** myself when I found that out! Boom Boom.
That's a worry about the kids, but I think they'd have shown signs ny now. Nice to see a bit of humour though Rufflad.
