Combined swansea/cardiff team

I stated that Swansea only got promoted to another division in the league, what is wrong with that, it's true. I'd say the same if it was the bluebirds. It hardly merits the title team of the year. If it was the champions league, premiership title or a cup final win then yes it's worthy of the title (IMO). The discussion was around the swans and the Welsh rugby team (not the bluebirds) and what they achieved this year.

 

there's nowt wrong with that if it was just any old division, but this is the premier league, the greatest league in the world and little old swansea have reached it, if it was nothing special getting there, cardiff would have done it years ago. it's on a thread about swansea/cardiff is it not?

 

Doc, I'm happy for you but read the thread as it was meant, an alternative view. It is not a my club is better than your club point scoring exercise.
"the greatest league in the world" in the opinion of most Brits yes, I'm sure the French, Germans, Brazilians etc, etc.... would view their respective leagues as the greatest in the world.
In the context of the views I have put forward, it is just another league. The die hard egg chaser would suggest the same, vice versa the footy fan view the Heineken trophy in the same light as the Johnson paint/LDV vans trophy (or whatever it's called these days).

Not really , just joking . Most know if Cardiff were to have a march these days , it would be a celebration of the incredible season there having ...without the giant expectations in tow from the last few seasons . It must be because most Cardiff fans are in shock I suspect ... I know I am ...

 

i think Cardiff will get promoted this season so hopefully next season will be more interesting, more banter and less insults

 

Maybe on the first point , highly unlikely on the second & third

some ppl take criticism hard H and have to retort with insults, truth hurts or was that love hurts by nazareth, i c where u r coming from. its all a game, win or lose, every week we all get over it and start again don't we.fun is fun, banter is banter so lets get over the insults, personally would love the banter with H, Swamp, aberdude, proph etc (not JH)

 

Personally, I'm in 'good will to all men' mode... just don't get me any socks with f'kin reindeer on them 'LEFT' and 'RIGHT' is far more practical
