I have wildcarded too. I initially had Salah in my squad, but sold him to allow me to being in Haaland. After watching Salah do bugger all for 99% of the game but then score, I just had to buy him again. Now I am the proud owner of both lol
I usually wait a couple of games to see who's got some form, then pick them, then watch them have season ending injuries or forgot how to kick a ball and fail to claw back the gap to the top of any league I'm in - but it's "fun". Might be why I don't gamble
