You'd imagine we'll potentially do that as an unwritten gentlemen's agreement for Zambrano given the fact we covered his wages last season despite him being banned. Hopefully Quito play ball with it.

When's he contracted to them until. I doubt they'd risk losing him on a free based on a gentleman agreement.

Find out Sept 1st if he shows up as he would be allowed to train with us again from then, but think I read somewhere other clubs were now interested in him.

Thos two windows thing might actually do the club the world of good. We're not in a bad place currently it seems to me.

On Puerta, whilst its not brilliant, lets just say he helped us stay up last season...

When you are on the top naughty step surely its stupid telling everyone that on appeal you will be allowed to go onto the bottom naughty step .
Everyone should have remained quiet and taken the medicine when the verdict came out .

Sergej Jakirovic will have to continue to work within the transfer restrictions
Hull City have been informed of the outcome of their appeal hearing against a three-transfer fee restriction and the news is not what they wanted. In the wake of the blow the club have issued a defiant response.

City’s initial punishment has been reduced from three windows to two, with the third suspended for 12 months pending any further rule breaks.

If City notch up seven days of late transfer payments within the next year, it will be extended to three windows, which was the original punishment, and leaves them at serious risk.

As it stands, the Tigers now cannot pay any transfer or loan fees until next summer, meaning they would have to operate in the winter window like they have done so far in this window.

The news will come as a major blow to the Tigers and owner Acun Ilicali, who was confident of being able to trade normally, at least from January when the winter window opens, but that will not be the case.

City’s situation is made all the more challenging given the fact that they are working under a business plan imposed on them by the EFL’s financial reporting unit, so every deal has to be agreed by them before the player can be registered.

"Following our appeal to the Club Financial Review Panel, we have received confirmation that the three-window transfer fee restrictions imposed on us have been reduced to two windows, with the third window suspended. Our justification regarding the payment dates was not accepted by the panel," the club said in a statement.

"As we have demonstrated in recent weeks, we still remain able to sign players – either on loan or as free agents. We want to take this moment to sincerely thank all our fans for their unwavering support during these challenging times. Our unity and solidarity have shown the football world the strength of the Hull Cityfamily. CHALLENGES WILL NEVER BREAK US; THEY ONLY MAKE US STRONGER."

It’s not even a reduction. The original sentence is upheld but the third window restriction is suspended. I’m concerned the club will end up accumulating more than seven days late for payments in the next 12 months too, based on their previous record.

    The club needs new owners.

New owners would mean **** all to the restriction.

Seemingly an excellent manager, seemingly an excellent team in the making.. can we leave the negative and focus on positives... just for a change.

A bit like when we were younger, you played the same record over and over and eventually it started to jump and you missed the verse... 'a broken record'.
