Even January mate. We understand we’ve likely got 40 or so more we can spend, if we can hang fire until January and be 10-15th then far easier to attract the higher calibre. Be similar for you lads I’m sure.

I think we have both seen over weekend with West Ham. Wolves and Brentford (with Burnley), that there’s opportunity for us both to do it.

I will caveat that with Wolves look half decent until City got the second.

It is just so lazy to assume teams can’t come up and compete. Most teams are happy banking the money and going down for another go.

We are Sunderland and Leeds. We aren’t Ipswich, Norwich or Sheffield United.

Ermedin Demirovic is being mentioned today, he has some very good statistics. I think more likely we enquired and it wasn’t doable so we went in for DCL

 

his name has cropped up recently … out of favour despite scoring because another younger player at his club proved more suited to his teams style of play. That player was wanted by Bayern but stuttgart won’t sell, so demirovic looking at a season on the bench.

No nonsense hardworking centre forward with good record. Could do a lot worse if there was any mileage in it.

 

I genuinely think we are done for strikers if we get Okafor.

I believe DCL has been given the 9 shirt.

Morning all. Cracking game last night and a fantastic result. That was a clear penalty all day long in my book. Honestly, they looked more like the newly promoted side than us! Elland Road has the potential to be a fortress this season, and picking up strong home points will be absolutely vital.

As for Everton - well, they were dreadful. Even their manager admitted as much, though he put it down to how much better Leeds were on the night.

Onwards and upwards.. Lets try to at least give Arsenal a game on Saturday.. Fingers crossed..

 

I hope we don't get hammered by Arsenal and at least compete, I want to come out of that game positively before the Wendies cup game where we can hopefully give some game time to the new signings and get a few of the others up to speed
