It’s apparently been verified. And the reason why he would never move on. That’s why there’s a lot of stink with him.
If we go into the season with no strikers wonder if it may be worth trying elanga through the middle at some point. He seems pretty capable with both feet and rapid of course. Gordon doesn't really seem be that great as a CF.
Worst thing is Gordon has played there plenty of times for England. Staggering we go into this UCL season without a recognised striker.
Yep, should have just folded and sold Isak for £110M and then still found we couldn’t get players that would improve us up front.
How would you feel about Mitro returning? Contract is being cancelled apparently and he's still only 30.
I’d happily see him back for a stint. Never really given a fair chance/run for us, partly down to his disciplinary record but he knows the club, knows the league and knows where the net is. A deal until the end of the season with an option for more at the end of it if he keeps his nose clean etc, it wouldn’t be the worst bit of business we’ve done. Let’s see where we end up come 1st Sept, we may have very few other options if we’ve not brought in what we need strikers wise.
If we have no recognised striker I'd take a punt on Mitro for a season and also maybe eve Toney over accepting that Gordon will play CF until January.
I’ll give you a tip fella, they don’t move there for the footy! Players who move there earn a fraction of their Saudi salaries at their previous clubs before they move, funnily enough they don’t become better players playing in the Saudi league. If they wanna come back here to the PL (or any other league for that matter) they’re clearly gonna have to take a drop in salary! Ronaldo is on €3.4m per week (yes per week) there’s no club on the planet in Europe who can even remotely afford that!
Nobody in Saudi is PL ready, and mitro wasn’t pl ready before he moved. Ludicrous suggestion, we’re not ****ing Sunderland.
