I think 17th and casually win the league cup seems a reasonable enough plan. Can't see it being hard. Just need to win like 6 games and we've done that before.
I think any promoted teams fast-track would look something like this: Season 1: Stay up. Season 2: Consolidate away from relegation fight. Season 3: Compete for Europe.
We’ve fast tracked the first window tbh it feels like we are signing players you’d usually sign in your second to third season of staying up people don’t realise how ridiculous our midfield is and how our defence will shape up if we sign Lucumi
I think we just need to see where we are around the end of September then maybe start talking about targets. I do feel confident we can do something special this season. Especially the more Prem football I watch this weekend.
Burnley, Leeds, West Ham, Wolves, Brentford all teams we could finish above. I think the others will have too much experience.
17th will be a great this year. People are getting very carried away. There isn't a single weak team in the Premier League. If we were 5% off it this weekend, we'd have gone behind to West Ham and then who knows what would have happened. We need to be at our best all season long and if that takes us any higher than 17th, it's an exceptional season.
Massively down on depth, 3 u21s on bench and Coleman is the only defender on bench CB at RB and CM at LB
Jesus, Mary, prime Mourinho, Alf Ramsey and a genie in a bottle combined weren’t keeping us up to be fair.
Big Sam had that team unbeaten for how many games in a row though? We could have made a better go at it than we did but it was inevitable eventually.
Wasn’t the same team. N’Dong for M’Vila was like taking down the Mona Lisa and replacing it with a barons drawing of his dads knob.
Spot on, I think managing fans expectations will be the hardest thing this season, few bad results and the sky will be falling in, few good ones and the skys the limit in a lot of our lot’s minds. Mind I do think 99 odd percent of our fans will be in the level headed camp, it’ll be otr that’ll be the bipolar Petri dish
