People will rule them out of being down there but all it takes is getting in a rot and a couple of big signings not working and they can be down there. Got players to come into the 11 but their starting lads today didn’t blow me away where I thought there’s no way we can compete with that sort of thing.
Have the recent promoted teams been that bad to go down so easily? West Ham / Everton / Brentford ( I know there's different circumstances) been utter wallop. Long way to go but we're in with a decent shout
They are trying to play out from the back but their defenders aren't good enough to do that and their CMs aren't good at receiving under pressure - bad combo
This is shocking from Everton. Midfield is nowhere to be seen, Beto is offering nothing, distances between the defenders is all wrong. Leeds doing well though.
Looks like a team with lots of new signings starting for them..... they have 1 Doesn't help there's zero balance in the back 4 either
Absolutely awful to watch Everton. Even the short passes to take the heat of seem to be a bit under hit and loose. Really poor looking side.
That alt ending lad on YouTube did a video on why Sunderland could stay up and he talks about the last 6 promoted teams and where it went wrong for them. In a way kind of suggests that the gap isn’t unattainable and the previous 6 just had really poor goes at it for different reasons. I think if it’s the three up that could down again there will start to be a convo about the gap being too big imo, not meant in an arrogant way but especially with us and Leeds being 2 of them and spending a load.
Can't tell if Leeds are actually playing well or if Everton are just making them look good. Either way Leeds should be 2-0 up
I'll understand if you don't have the time or inclination, but what does that actually mean in this context? Hear the phrase often and made my own assumptions in the past of its meaning but would be good to get your description?
The good are really good. The bottom teams aren't really that good tbf. The likes of Everton, West Ham etc have probably been lucky the other 6 have been dogshit
Stach gets around the pitch well. He looks a good un (after a huge 20 mins). I said during the Euros the Everton CF looked average. He looks really half arsed here, mind you, he is about 25 yards away from any team mate.
Bizarrely I could see this ending 0-0 or 0-1 from a combination of Leeds lacking quality and Everton not creating much, but likely to finish the one chance they get
