Im not sammys biggest fan - but he's been doing a job of late. Im not sure Lennon will be given the money to buy a replacement. So if Lawell gets the cheque book out first and gets some one in then he should be let go
If the below is true id be happy to finish the january window with Diawara in and Sammy out:

Maritimo president Carlos Pereira admits talks with Celtic over £3m-rated striker Baba Diawara are back on.

As Saturday showed we require a big man upfront when plan A isn't working and teams stifle us out in a midfield battle .Get Diawara in , Samaras out and hopefully get a fit Commons out wide on the left.

    Get him sold ...

He's being doing OK of late but that's it ... ok!

£2MILLION! Celtic would be mad to turn that down.

I'll drive him if everyone clubs together for petrol, he'd look pretty in pink ideal team for him.

We have to remember that Sammy seems to love Parkhead, he's had offers to go elsewhere before and he's knocked them back, I honestly don't see why Palermo would be any bigger a lure to him than some of the other places he's apparently been offered.

The big woofter might go because of the chance to wear a pink strip.

Interesting the player that so many on here despised with hatred and now allegedly valued at £2 million . Maybe him and Jelavic could create a new strike force
    somewhere at £3.75 combined price.
We certainly need a striker with more ability i the air than Strokes and Hooper. Notice the number of low crosses sent in from either flank which are easily cut out.
Strokes got 2 great chances in recent games when two crosses found their way straight to him and although neither ball was in anyway high he got under both, one over bar and one hit the bar, both should have been certain goals.
I must be supporting a different club than other people because I have no doubt that Peter L will try to buy any player that Neil Lennon wants. Of course Lennon knows there is a limit as to what Celtic can spend on a player. Which is only about right, in the face of recession, falling gate monies, very small tv revenues and falling advertising and sponsorship revenues. I hope we get our new bigger striker, with or without the sale of Samaras.

Pud, I honesty don't know what you are talking about Do You?

Harry the Rangers one was the usual, if in doubt give it to Rangers.
Hearts, I don't blame the referee, its the Scottish ref coaching schemes. The instruction they get if you cannot see it give award against Celtic, or if Rangers are playing give it to Rangers.

The biggest problem Celtic have now is that they cannot play SPL matches without referees and assistants.
However, we don't need bias police inside the stadium. Police that misheard O lar Samaras for up the RA and us all told the IRA wer the evil letters.
Its beyond belief that the same heavy mob never ever heard the hu.. singing and chanting and thet wrote reports after Them were reported to say it was only funny wee ditties. They must be banned!!

You're suprised at Samaras' value... I pointed out his potential value is equal to the value of the contract he has with Celtic.

    Pretty simple.

Really PUD that is a load os nonsense. Torres has 4.5 years left on his contract @ £150 to £200 per week.
Chelsea have an asking price of £20m. Peanuts regarding his contract.
Pud you are to young to debate with real adults like Harry and I. Both of us forgot more about
football before you were born than you have ever learned.

Go and take a running **** tae yerself ya condesending babblin twat!

Chelsea are taking a loss on Torres due to lack of form - he's not longer worth his contract or any potential value to the team!

How do you think they assign values to players - an arbitrary figure plucked out of thin air.

Contract value is the basis ... good/great players have inflated transfer fees based on image rights/merchandise potential etc! Bad players need to be gotten rid of!

Samaras is an inconsitant player, so is not valued at anything above his true worth (the value of his contract)!

Recently, I've tried to take - for the sake of debate - the comments you make seriously. But after this statement - and a statement made on another thread - I'll simply just ignore or laugh at some of the pish you write.

Pud, For some reason you think you have a right to call me names and ridicule me.
Of course, I would have every right to call you names and make an idiot of you, however I rather leave that to yourself,
as I find you are an expert.
During the close season and up until the end of the summer transfer season you and your "friends " many of whom rarely
attend Celtic matches called Sammy all sorts of names (far worse than you have called me so far). You also wanted Sammy booted out of Glasgow.
Your lot were not interested in any fee, just Sammy out. This despite Sammy having signed a new contract in May and had more left on his contract in August than January. The smart boys wanted him out for nothing in the summer. Than God we have Peter Lawell and Neil Lennon. these part-time fans would destroy the club.

You, if genuine, think you are some authority on Celtic!

You decided to condesend to me... stating that I'm too young - that marks you out to be a clown! I could go to every Celtic game, I could go to none ... who gives a flying **** how many games someone goes to.

If this makes me different from you (and Harry) then thank ****!

You believe Samaras is worthy of the Celtic jersey (if not a wum)...

I don't - he's far too inconsitant! He needs to perform on the majority of games... not just one in every 3!

Anyway, I see no point discussing this point anymore!
